So without a PAID account...

1. I can't seem to find where one adds a signature.
There is something about getting to "Upload" a signature, in a paid account - but I don't want to upload anything! Just add some text and maybe a linked icon/image hosted by me.

FWIW, I can easily do this with HTML myself, but it would have to be pasted to the bottom of each post I write manually instead of doing it one time in a simple form.

2. Custom Avatar - probably a paid-only option, but thought I would double check since I can't seem to find that option either.

I just can't justify paying for forums in general - since I am on probably hundreds of them across many years and topics. I even pre-date the "www/web" with participation on what used to be called BBS in the 80s and early 90s! Guess that makes me both old, and geeky. LOL

Not being pushy but, you have already gleened enough information from this site to justiy a years subscription, and for four years worth you can get a lifetime (if you don't plan to live more than another 35 years). You know you will do it eventually. Why wait?

I was here in November 2010 looking and learning and joined in December 2010. It not take me long to realize these SSR folks not only were completely nuts but had kind hearts and giving spirits. They have been generous to a fault with accurate information and suggestions. Best money I have ever spend on a membership of any kind.
Thank you Fanatics for the warm welcome you have given me.
