So what happened
So what happened to the Active Topics catagory, as I used to look back from a drop menu and pick how far back I wanted to look at Actived topics?
I looked at new posts today and had 1,250 , clicked on a couple of them and had to go. Came back later and there were only 105 New Posts, and seeming no way to look back further. So where is this option Hiding?

We all agree with you Duanne - All we can do is to wish the owners to return it like it was or change it. If those who know can't figure out how look up past posts -- new people will certainly get fustrated and not join the forum, not good business in my eyes; 3rd Annual FL Rally March 4,5,6, 2011
It sucks all right.
I was gone last weekend for 5 nights and the only thing that works for me is to look under each "SSR DISCUSSION" area, then look at the date column on the right and work your way back.

What's up?
If this is New and Improved, some one has missed the Improved Part. Active Topics, was already a drop down menu, it took an effort to take it off of our options.

Now that they have our Lifetime membership money.....they could give 2 $hits on what we think or like.

Trying to find Members is so frustrating at times. Flassh mentioned that sometimes it helps when you pretend to do a PM.
That dropdown works better if you don't know the spelling. However you need at least the first 3 correct to make that work. The other day I wanted to look up JR's Baby. Had I not thought to try an apostrophe I do not think I could have come up with it as inputing "JRS" got nada.
People that do a name change have to be very aware they may get lost in the shuffle unless they are quite active.

A lot of the changes to the website have been poorly thought out.
Cash is right - if you have an idea what the member's name is, you can start a PM, and all the names close to that will pop up, as long as punctuation is correct. That may or may not be of much help for anything else.
That definitely isn't of much help if you're looking for an old post from someone who posts fairly frequently. The search will only go back 500 posts.
The other really crappy re-design is the purging of old names if they are not active.
For example, the previous owner of my original SSR, #567, had some really neat posts, being one of the first SSR owners in the fall of 2003. Almost impossible to find those, because his name has been removed from the members list.
I remember the names of some of the oldest contributors, but it's very difficult to find their old posts. Morty was our "Deep Throat" at Lansing during the early testing and crushing days. Great posts, but try finding those!!!
It's also fun once in a while to go back through some of the posts from our more dysfunction friends, like Sam Fowler, but all references to their names are gone. Those threads are almost impossible to find. Trying to search for Sam Fowler brings up every post with the name Sam or Fowler anywhere in it.
It's new, but it's definitely not improved.
