Is this something new?

I've never notice this line that says " You have selected 1 post that is not part of this Thread".
Is this new? If so, just what does it do?

Also, just what is this "Trackback"? at the bottom of the screen.

That is if you hit the "+" in a thread and then decide not to post an answer. The quote is still in memory waiting and this gives you a chance to use it in another thread, or delete the copy.

If you have not selected a quote via the +/- button and then decided not to post a reply in that thread you will not see it. See my explantion above.

or go to another thread, select a quote from up in the early part of the thread then come back here without posting a reply to that thread. When you post a reply here you will see the notice in question.

This is correct....

The Traceback has been there for some time. I have not bothered to figure out what it is exactly, but I gather it is a reference type tool to let someone know if a post has been linked to by another web site, ie. if someone liked a thread here and made a reference to it on another site via link.
