Can someone tell me how to attach a sound file to a post?

Sound files? Nope and it won't take a Flash(swf) or Movies(.MPG MOV......) either. You have to put these types on a website, then post the LINK to them or Email them....

Yes, I tried posting a sound file from a website and when that failed I asked how that is done.

So, would you tell me the linking procedure?

Do you have an account with Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

The only way I know to help you is via those guys. Once you upload your file to Photobucket you'll be able to copy the link and then post it on here.

Does that makes sense?

Apparently, I'm not explaining myself clearly, Curt. I have two accounts for picture storage, Photobucket and Dogdogman but I was asking about sound files. I know how to post images and have done so many times.

There is an "insert link" button, above and suspected that that might be one way to do so, which is why I asked my question.

If I'm going "downhill" perhaps I'm on the wrong road. I titled this thread "Sound Files" for a specific reason, Curt

The previous posts were kinda confusing to me but that's not all that tough to do most of the time.

Sorry I'm no help as I always thought sound files could be treated the same as other files.

I suspect that they can be posted, especially since WOW_FCTR was able to have me click on an image and have a sound file play. He just won't explain how to do that

Are you tormented enough?

Well first.....I don't see a way to link a sound from your own computer. So the sound must be on the internet somewhere. I don't know if you can load just a sound at photobucket. I know you can't do it at Dogdogman.

So the first thing I posted was a straight link to the sound file on the web.

The second thing I posted was a link to the sound file on the web with a picture place holder....

That was done with this code:

url=http://www.littlemusicclub.com/weapons/Whip2.wav]img]http://www.fantasy3d.com/pfiles/objects/bondage/Whip.jpg[/img][/url]

(You must add a [ before the "url" and "img" for it to work)


Let me know if you need any more help....
