Top timed out -

i have a 04 and I sometimes get a message when trying to put the top down. It says "Timed Out". I am not sure why this happend. Is there an answer for this, and how do I fix it. It dosen't happen often but it happens..

I'm sure there are a number of reasons for the Timed out situation, but I will share mine with you.
I hear the hyduralic system 'pump up' and then the "timed "out comes on the DIC. I found that the rear lid will not come up. I found that if I simply put my fingers under it, just after the drivers door area and give it a little help, then the lid will raise and all is well.
As with children, this predominately occurs when others are present !
