Wow ... nice improvement to this site. Has anybody notices?
I couldn't sleep last night so I tried logging in around 4ish AM and a message saying this site was down for maintenance and that would take a couple of hours.

I'm surprise nothing is posted informing us of those upgrades.

The only thing I noticed was I had to dig around for my password as it made me log in.

Also had to log in...I suppose the improvements I've seen are good...good to have all active posts on one page instead of multiples...

look how pictures come up now. that a big improvement.

It is pictures that are posted by the Manage attachements process, not those posted as links, and it is good if you screen is set up properly, but I liked it the old way because it opened a NEW window with it's own scroll bars and this one does not.

I like the picture option also

If you click on an attachment it opens within a black screen if there are more than one pic its similar to a slide show where you just click next or previous for the photos....nicely done.

I am experiencing quick load time as well

Some of us may have known about the upgrades...I wonder why we didn't post anything?

I have not been on since Thursday.....I defintely see changes.

Active Topics doesn't have "my recent topics" any more...it seems to be under search now...

BTW: I had thought that the upgrade and or maintenance message was to come from the site's owner's head Administrator(s) but I was wrong... again my fault.

FYI: I haven't been able to spend much time reviewing the changes since I have been at work when the upgrades were finished.

FYI, Their was a nice and clear maintenance message that came up at 4 AM (pacific time) informing me that it would be down until 8 AM.

I figured out my problem: Pick "New Posts".

But I do see the list ends with your last non-read thread....so I can't see the last thread I read the time before....this won't be a problem unless the site still marks all my threads read (even if I didn't read them) if I step away from my computer for an hour. That would mean that I would miss a lot of threads

Now you're stretching it by suggesting I have friends!
I'm sure it is somewhere but I use the Member List very regularly.
I scroll through and find persons "of interest" and look at their post history,
trying to find old threads to subscribe to which may be pertinent to various
SSR stuff I may be researching at the time or possibly intend to in the future.
