I wanted to post about my experience in having a remote start installed in my 2004 SSR. I am not interest in bad mouthing any one just wanted to say that I took my truck to two well know companies and both messed it up. So if any one in the Phoenix Arizona is looking for an alarm system and remote start I have a guy who has 23 years experience that I can just not say enough good things about and he will come to you.
Dave was also able to make my top go up and down remotely - others would not even try. It works very well and he did NOT cut out any of the safety.
I do not think I am allowed to post his phone number or information so please PM me for that.
My SSR: #23198 06 Blue 3SS #375 of 532 - Birthday 12/21/05 - Took delivery 9/5/06 (2nd owner)

Had Dave here today and in approx 3 hours I had remote start, remote stop, remote top up and down, remote trunk release....all in one fob. Amazing! The fob even shows a little car with the exhaust coming out of it. 1 mile range, top of the line alarm means peace of mind. Dave brought the harness already put together since he knows our SSRs. I am very pleased.

I spoke with Arizonason (Steve Salter) and he gave me the installers name and number he was very happy with his work. I spoke to Dave and asked him if there was enough interst would he be willing to come to our Laughlin meet and do installs there. He said if he could get 5 or 6 it would be worth his time to make the trip. He can do 8 or so in the two days. Cost is $575 or if you would like he has a additional alarm system that works with the top down anyone putting there hands in interrior would set it off is addition $80
please post here or PM Arizonason let him know if you are interested,

I have and enjoy being with you both! Happy New Year!
BTW I was showing it off yesterday by using just the screen on the keyfob. Could see it go into start mode so I remote put the top down. When I went outside to see...it had started to rain...so...I ran back inside and remote put the top back up. Ha!
I found Dave to be great. Even turned my neighbor onto Dave since he needed custom restoration work on his car stereo.
Dave even fixed a couple of issues I had with my previous stereo install while he was at it. Great service IMHO.

One more thing I found....it shows the internal temperature inside the cab on the fob. Now I can warm it up or cool it down before I get inside the R. Nice to have here in AZ.

Richard, Steve is over doing my install today. He has your harness all wired up and is going to test on my SSR before sending to Germany. Where are you located? I spent a few years in Neckarsulm while in the Army in the early 80's. I believe the base is now closed down. Jeff

Today I am having Dave install the remote start top up/down along with a Pioneer GPS head unit. Also adding a back up camera, satellite radio, iPod cable and steering wheel control module. He will be running RCA cables to the back for a future speaker and amp upgrade. I'm taking some photos of the progress and will post upon completion. I understand that Dave is going to Laughlin and I'm looking to get a head start on that. Pretty cool stuff. Jeff

OK, the install is done and it looks like it should have come this way from the factory. Way cleaner look and the GPS is cool. I need to learn the new keyfobs for the remote start top up/down. Very cool feature and I had Dave install the interior alarm for when the top is down. I'm really looking forward to having the speakers and amp swapped out. Hopefully I will be done with the upgrades then. Here are some pictures of the old, and new. JP

That was the first thing I noticed after install. I think it looks much better not being so busy looking.
I paired up my iPhone today and my wife said my call sounded very good. The mic is up front low on the drivers side pillar. So far I'm really liking the unit.
