I like the vents in the front fenders the stripes and roof mod, not so much the other stuff. I have to ask the question.......you live where you can see how fast it will go and probably have, what is the top speed of a stock 05 SSR? Regards

So from what i see most of you liked the body modifications. As you wrote guys that it depends on the owner what things he put on his car.But i like to follow a saying says eat what you want and wear what people like.

Now i think i will go with under body modifications.

Thanks all for support.
Keep up the mods until YOU have what you like. My son does not appreciate the SSR but I love it so I win.

Rear fender vents

Hi Hossam, first - I'm very proud that coulple of my items made it
to your SSR.
It is now a little late,( but then again - it's a journey, not a destination?)
What I was thinking about, are the vents by Kaminari. I always though they were crude. I'm sorry if it souds rough, but - it's the truth.
Anyway, when i was reading your posts and realized - we could have created functional vents for the rear brakes in the R fenders, that do take inspiration from Ferrari TR.

let me know if you 'd like to see a rendering of that.

Actually, I hope you won't mind if suggest such mod to my other customer
in your part of the world, he seems to be leaning towards getting vents done,
Thanks again Hossam!

Hi Hossam, sorry it took long, but here is a rough rendering of how I would approach the rear vents.
On account you are being TR fan :-)

of course you probably see that not only vents are done in TR spirit,
but the whole vehicle's proportions are changed to "italianize" the look.

I would really build this thing - you see rear axle moved rearwards,
the cab is moved forward, the windshield rake is more severe,
the cab is "chopped', the rocker panel is wedged, and other, smaller changes take place.
We would mount the engine out back, AND still maintain retractable top ( I will not reveal how!)
it has not been done before, I doubt ever will be, but it would be super cool to merge Italian supercar with American muscle, don't you think?

Smile Datsun 1977 with rear V8 engine

Good day George,

I like the idea of such modifications.Yes, it will be the first SSR in this kind of modifications. It require a lot of time and efforts.

I think now you need to find a name for this car.Testa means Head and Rossa means fire red.

I remember 14 years a go, one guy switch his Datsun pickup 1977 to V8.He put the engine in the rear. And throgh the 4 cylinders engine and use the engine pay as trunk.

It was crazy idea because he wins many races because people think he has the four cylinders.

When you are foing to start your modifications?

Thanks

hi Hossam, funny story about the Datsun..
My modifications will probably never start - I would need a paying customer for that.
I would not need an SSR for such project,
the whole thing would be built using c5 or c6 vette parts, custom tubular chassis and of course fiberglass parts modyfied to fit the project.
none of SSR parts would interchange, only the spirit would be prestent :-)

Good day George,

Well i love to start such project.Ilike unique things. The only problem is i can not import any car to Saudi less than 2008.I can enter cars below 1980.

Other problem, the car will be modified and wont pass the Gulf cars specification test.

I hope to see your project one day.

Thanks

I see, actually we could do this - because in US a vehicle built by a small company still can be issued a VIN and title, it does not have to be GM or Ford.
Vehicles built by small companies are given same credentials and are legally no different from the Big Three's cars.

if you were interested, I could get more details on that, and we could build a brand new vehicle like that.

I would propose LS crate engine, tubular chassis to host the engine in the mid-section, vette auto or stick tranny, vetter rear independent suspention and front suspention. The body would be composite, we would have to build it around the chassis,
Around that we would build a body rough renedering of you saw,
when done it would be issued a VIN and 2014? title.
it woud have the retractable top too, like one never seen before.
it probably would cost $250000 too..
let's build it!

Those Goodyear tires are awful... luckily you changed the rear tires. Before I did, my rear end came out from under me on a turn. It was fun spinning around in what felt like slo-motion... as I watched the 40ft. palm trees that were lining the road! Of course it was only fun cause I didn't hit them!

Have fun!

That's funnier than what actually happened.

I meant that the back of the truck slid (on those hard Goodyears) and I spun around about 280 degrees... damn tires stayed on but they slid like crazy!
