    Ed,
I have all the symptoms of a broken fuse box wire in my 06 SSR and would appreciate your support in this regard.
I have been a member for some time but have maintained a low profile with telephone access only.
If interested, I can be contacted at 403-286-7778 and we can go from there.
    Thanks.

Check Fuse 48 in the rear fuse box.
Tighten the 3 - 10mm electrical connector mounting bolts in the Rear Fuse Box.

    Hi Ed,
I have a problem with both front aux power outlets not working. I have replaced the fuse as directed
on the website. I have an appointment with the local GM dealer on Thursday but am not sure they
will be able to help. If you have any suggestions I may pass along to them, I certainly would appreciate it.
    Thank you

    Hi Ed,
SSR shut off again last night but this time on I-95 so sat and watched the traffic go by for about 45 minutes before I could restart and head home. Pulled the FB last night (nothing to it just as you said) and it is headed your way.

Removing the Fuse Box is fairly easy.
    DISCONNECT THE BATTERY
Go to the "How To Library" and read the article about removing the FB.
You can ship the FB via USPS - Priority Mail - About $18 & Insurance
You do not need to remove the fuses, relays and breakers.
Send $50 for the fix and $25 for insured return shipping.

    Hi Ed,
I am new to the forum and I am in need of a permanent fix on my 2005 SSR fuse box. As you have heard from several other SSR owners SSR will not restart after driving for a while and getting hot, must lift hood and cool down before it will restart.
I live in Fl year round and just missed you prior to you leaving for the summer home.
Just got quote from Chevy dealership to replace fuse box at $780 plus labor.... How difficult is it to remove box myself?
I already have your MI address from previous posting.

My set is the three volume set not the two volumes that Helm is selling. Several companies want 450 to 650 for the three volume set

    Hi Ed,

I came across your thread indicating that you have a permanent fix for the fuse box open circuit issue. I have a 2006 Trailblazer SS with the exact problem. Are you able to apply the fix to the TBSS fuse boxes?

I would like to send you my fuse box to have the jumper installed. Can you let me know if you can do this and also send me your payment and mailing addresses.

I can ship this out first thing Monday morning along w/ a prepaid return shipping label.

    Best regards,
    Beth Anne

Send me your e-mail address and I will send you photo of a Fixed fuse box.
You will be able to look at the fuse box and see the fix.

Hey Ed, fixin to be a new SSR owner, and a dealer at prospectorauto in Auburn, CA "Russell" says you fixed the fuse box issue where the vehicle shuts off and won't start possibly due to overheating?? anyhoo, do you know anything about this? I'm needing to know asap as I've got my bank to hold the check till they can prove it as he has no receipt etc showing it was actually fixed. thanks, Bevon 9186887143

    Ed,

I live in Bradenton, I own a 2004 with 54,000 miles. I need a couple common repairs, door handle, fan stopper.
I am a Golf pro and have no skills around the car. Do you do the work? or do you know someone I might contact to have my car looked at?

    Many thanks,

    Ed:

Thank you for all assistance. Spoke to Zig @ Cabrolet Hydraulics. He is willing to rebuilt all eight cylinders for a great price. BUT after much thought it's time that I sell off some of the vehicles I have in my garage. If you know of any one that would like this beautiful yellow SSR with all the factor extras let me know. I have no clue what I should actually get for the car since Kelly Blue Book does not take in consideration the vehicle itself. 40873 mileage great tires
