On 10/01/2004 SSR serial # 115841 took it's first breath of air. I purchased said vehicle on Sept. 27 2015, (my birthday) with 20,000 miles on it. From this point forward said vehicle is known as the "TOY". It was rescued from a dealer in Alabama. the dealers wife drove it and did not apply any TLC. After numerous "Do you really need that", from the lovely wife and several "WHY ME's" I decided to enter the TOY in Sept's prestigious ROTM. The upgrades and modifications are as follows.
New Bumper by Kaminari
Smoothie Grill Bar from MPD
Smoothie Hood emblem
Modified Grill Inserts
Lower Rad Support-S/E
Replacement Air Dam-S/E
Stainless Hood Panel-Ron's SSR Bling
Air intake and fittings-Spectre Performance
Throttle Body Port and Polished, Tuned by Jeremy of FasterProms
Upgraded Heater Hoses-S/E

Fuse Box rewired-Dragon2U
Upgraded PCV system
Lots of Chrome-Dragon2U, the Late Floyd Bailey, Ron's SSR Bling, Florida Stainless and Ebay

Trans linkage and Heat shield-S/E
5 in Tail Pipe Tips-S/E
Muth Mirrors-S/E
Running Boards-MPD
05 GTO Spoiler with sequential Brake light wired by DRagon2U
Back off Flash Brake lite
Chevrolet and SuperSport script on tailgate
Rear Nerf Bar-Floyd Bailey
Stainless accents on Taillights and side markers
Dash Mat-Dictator
Lloyds Floor Mats

The TOY and I would appreciate your vote for Sept ROTM on the anniversary of ownership. Plus I don't want type this over again. All moneys from this award will be given to the 2018 Southeast SSR Rally.

Glad I got my ROTM earlier too. I am experiencing severe chrome envy. My favorite item is the split air intake but the whole package looks SAH-WEEETT!!!

2004 Sling Shot Yellow, purchased with 44,000 miles on February 26, 2018
Garage
Alas, attempts to get the wife to pose for more pictures have not panned out. Hey, this is a car contest!

2004 Slingshot yellow. 44,000 original miles. Purchased in February 2018. Daily driver. With the expert help of Jack (in Mississippi) and Mike (in Arizona), replaced the pneumatic & hydraulic roof cylinders, the roof hinge bushings and the shift cable bushing. Also installed the ABS heat shield and roof compartment soundproofing (wind noise fix), fixed the driver door click and replaced the bed cover pneumatic cylinders. Installed custom vinyl side stripes with SSR logo from SignsDotCom, replaced the bow tie on the tailgate with a vinyl graphic CHEVROLET, installed large vinyl bow tie on bed cover and domed hood inserts.

Just did the darbysan/Jerry thermistor hack to run the A/C colder!

Remember, red and yellow kill a fellow, but to be yellow is mellow .

Thanks for looking. Pat
