Cool

Welcome from the North Georgia Mountains.
Make sure what items need to be added are, if it is an automatic shift linkage, ABS heat shield, etc...
Then check the air pressure and drive the wheels off of it!

I would drive it, although in somewhat better weather. If it's a long road trip, then you get the weather you get.

I saved my 1995 Corvette roadster and for what? So the next guy could get a lower mileage car? The difference in selling price between lower mileage and normally driven Corvette was negligible. MORE MILES MORE SMILES.

Also, I don't know how old you are, but when my SSR gets sold, I'm not really going to care!

Welcome aboard from the ‘Sooner’ state of Oklahoma. If you don’t drive it on a regular basis, you will never get that ‘permagrin’ that everyone talks about. We hope you and your wife will try to make it to the international rally coming up in October in Branson, MO. This will be a great opportunity to put faces with names that you see out here on the forum. Truly a friendly bunch of folks.

Congrats on your purchase and
Welcome to family from Middle Georgia.

To answer your question, I must first ask you a question...do you own a museum?
If you answer as I expect you will; I say HECK NO, DO NOT PARK IT AND LOOK AT IT...
...you can always do that when your SSR takes it's last breath (many years from now)!!

DRIVE IT (as Ron @shakatak said "like you stole it!!")
Agree with @BRG Tim too, what are you saving it for, so the next owner can have a low mileage R?
If you do that, make sure you charge them storage and maintenance fees! LOL

Glad you've joined us. Hope to see you in Branson MO this October for the 2019 International SSR Rally
Here is the Link if you are interested in meeting your new family.

On a practical side the folks that are saving theirs are getting disappointed. The SSR is rare but not going up in value as some had expected it would. It will take another 30 or 40 years for that to happen and your kids or someone might gain from it but most of us will be dead and buried. If you decide to sell it in your lifetime 50,000 or 150,000 miles on the clock won't bother the sale at all. So all that said go out and drive it as often as you can. We in this part of the country deal with Snow, Salt, and mud, so mine does sit in the heated/air conditioned garage but when it turns nice I am out driving it.

Drive it. Like others have said they are built to be driven and that's why you bought it, so enjoy it. I don't drive mine much in the winter time due to the salt, but if it is decent roads I am driving them.

Welcome to the family tree, new sprouts are always welcome.
It's not an investment property, you need a Ferrari or something really old/rare for that.
It's a fun vehicle, at least warm evenings and sunny Sundays, at best every day, everywhere.
I admit mine has paint chips and wear&tear, but it's look good going down the road, and has given me more pleasure than any other money I've ever spent.
Do whatever blows your skirt up but be aware of what you might be missing.

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.

I bought mine in 2006 and kept it in the garage until 2009 when i retired. I did not want to park it a work due to the heavy equipment at the power company. Drove it to Maggie Valley in 2009 (a week of vacation) and then retired and continued to drive it as my daily drive. Over 260K miles to date and never regretted it at all. That is what they were made to do. Have fun and hit as many rallies as you can.

I bought my 03 Black Asphalt some 4 years ago and I drive it every day cause it's so great. I would most likely do the same if it was a 57 Chevy comfortable. The point of a cool ride is to ride in it.
