None.

Just a helpful hint... you can use the google search feature at the top of the page to answer a lot of question quickly.

The 03/04 had the LM4 5.3L engine
The 05/06 had the LS2 6L engine

Late 60's/early 70 Chevys had LS3,4,5,6 engines
Recently the larger engines are the 6L/6.2L

I see a lot of dealer/ebay ads that state LS, but this is the only answer I can give, otherwise, there is nothing on the Build Sheet that uses LS as any version of a higher degree of finish
All SSR's start out the same in respective years, just added RPO's.

They're just saying it's the LS motor because not everyone (not here) knows what years had which motor.

Why do you keep posting Questions in the New Member section?

The other term they use a lot is BASE. In many of the ads and when you try to buy parts they want to know if it is BASE model. Seems like in the for sale ads it says either Base or LS and no real definition. I googled both for the SSR and they refereed me to SSR Fanatics Forum and it went dead there. Don't think it is an engine designater as a lot of the 04's say LS model in there ads.

I understand about the 04/LS bit but so often dealers don't input data properly - transmissions are often misrepresented
Also, I will keep an eye out for 04/LS ads - can't say I have ever noticed one - then again, I wasn't looking
I cannot determine what else the LS could refer to.
Dealers that aren't familiar with the SSR don't take the time to check things out - then someone on staff inputs sales data
Through my search for the 6sp, I have learned not to trust much on the dealer advertising info.

I looked at this site yesterday and it starts out with an 03 LS then bounces back and forth using LS and BASE for 03,04,05 etc. Really confusing. Maybe someone that was there at GM when they built them would know. Doesn't really matter if equipped the way you want and you know what you are looking for.

Don't feel bad. Most of us don't know what we are doing. I can barely run a computer and my kids call me a cave person. Go figure!!!

No, they do not. That could have been added be a previous owner.

Check the serial number with "CASH". He can give you specific info on a vehicle. Now if that tag said Signature Edition you might have something very special.
