DON'T do it! drill holes I mean.

I modified one from STO and Sho and then hide the holes with stainless overlays
You can also get one from simple engineering

I agree...no holes...look to eBay for a holder as well and post a request here.

Thanks for the reply and the concern from all . My unmolested R thanks you also! The front plate is mounted high with an aftermarket mount , just like a couple recent BJ auction ones. It's high enough to be right in the middle of the radiator -- probably not the best for cooling air flow ,so it's got to move . I will look at the stock mount on my Blur (it's nice to have another R available for reference) to see how it is mounted and see what I can do to modify a stow & show on some existing mount points . All this because the great state of Illinois says I have to have a plate on the front , LIKE THE COP WOULD EVER GET IN FRONT OF ME TO READ IT !??

I think Mike Moro of Simple Engineering has a solution for a “no hole” front license plate mount as well. You may also want to look at the DMV requirements for the front plate if it came without a location to mount one. Nebraska charges a $100 for a sticker if you don’t want a front tag BUT $7 if you get the front tag! How did that ever get past the public? Other states like Florida only require one.....what is the purpose of a front tag?

SSReplay.....I believe that piece is built into the entire piece of the bed liner. I do have a hard liner and carpet liner as well. Shoot me a photo. [email protected] and if I can help I will.

Dane, Thanks for your trouble , I didn't look close at that spot in a well lit area before I asked after looking at a picture on ebay of a whole bed liner you are right , it is part of the whole thing. I thought that since the outlet would be used and therefore might endure some rough treatment , that the mount would logically be made so it could be repaired---silly me just because that's how we did things when I designed stuff---GM had different ways. In any case I would not ask anyone to cut up a good liner just for a piece of it , mine is just cracked and thought this would be an easy fix -- there's always another way! Thanks again , Jim

Virginia also requires front plate, but the cops let me slide for the last three years I lived there and owned my R. Just relocated to KY, 6/2018 - no front plate required!

He Posted 8-8-18 that he finally found the broken wire in the fuse box, so he doesn't need an ECM

But-- thanks for getting my friend the Flipper. We got it on, but his Roof is not working correctly.

The 2006 Pac Blue SSR that I recently purchased has only one Soft Saddle Gag. I could use a second bag as well as four no mounting adjustable ring type eyelets that go along the side rails. Also would be interested in the satin (or chrome) brace the some have that fits between the bed rails and a cargo net that attaches to it. If you have any of these then let me know.
