Hood Emblem Support

Still looking for a hood emblem support. Since Mike in AZ isn't able to supply them they are extremely hard to find. But what the hey, just in case you have one available or know of someone or some place that does I would love to know about it. Thanks! Don

Check with Dictator in Florida. He knows just about every places there is to get something and or else he can fix it.

Emblem fiberglass support was invented by Eric Peters aka MPD1 who passed away recently at 53.

Mike has the mold and is in process of making them with a $ portion going to Eric's estate.

Have to wait until Mike is ready to release.

Here is another way to go. There was a gal selling complete metal replacement hood emblems in silver, stainless and chrome. Her husband had a machine shop and he was making them and she was selling them. I did a search here and found the posting from back in 4-12-2018. Their post name was TOZBEE and the post section was called Solid SSR Hood Emblems dated 4-12-18. Good luck.

Here is a post they had and a phone number.
for Sale Solid Aluminum SSR Hood Emblems
My hubby has a machine shop that does work in the aerospace industry. So when my hood emblem broke, he made one for me that wouldn't break.

He has made several of them because he knew some of you would like to have them as well.

They are made with 6160 billet aluminium. The ones pictured are straight off the machine and sanded with a 600 grit sandpaper. They are ready for clear coating, painting or even polishing. These are $350

We have been working a number of finishes, and have even sent one out for chrome. This of course adds to the cost. We are still working on satin because that seems too be a very elusive color.

I have another thread that shows them in more detail.

Send them a PM.

Unbroken

I have a TOZBEE one. Excellent quality.

I also have one of ERIC's. I hit a deer when I had it on. It did not break when the hood crumpled. The emblem cracked but remained in one piece. Insurance paid to replace so I bought the aluminum one. It is painted Smok'n like my R.

Send a PM to TOZBEE directly or call the phone number.

Looked through SEARCH FEATURE and found this section on hood trim piece. Seems to be a lot of interest in broken hood trim lately and it seems no one makes the repair backing piece anymore so here is an alternative if they are still making them. According to her BIO it says last activity 7-21-18 at 7:05 PM.
Happy hunting.
