A number of people have done something similar, but the cost of doing it for one copy is pretty high. That is why the book has right from the beginning been an e-book. If I had tried to get it commercially printed, with all those full color high res photos and charts, it would have been a giant money pit, as the total market for a book on the SSR, even if EVERY owner bought one, is so tiny.
But I know what you mean about a hard copy being nice. 6 years ago when I wrote the book, an e-book was still " radical". Now, it's where the entire book industry is going. We are in an era of unprecedented rate of change.
