I second all the thanks to Rope for his great legwork and planning.
I promised pictures from 5/10 so here are some from the festivities at Promontory Point so they are below. Also thanks to one of our "hitch-hikers", who helped fill the very few empty seats on our bus, for using my camera to take the last picture on this post.

On 5/11 we went to the Air Force Museum at Hill AFB near Salt Lake City. Picture #1 below. It is on an angle because that was the only way i could get most of us in the shot.
#2 is from 5/12 with the Bigboy headed back east to Cheyenne as we were leaving Evanston, WY on the way to Yellowstone.

Thank you Rope for all the planning and coordination with regards to our wonderful Hotel which was easy to find and navigate the area having Hwy 15 virtually out our back door. Your details in planning was vital to gather a huge group together to attend great programs, places for photo ops and all.

Every time our SSRs gather for an event there is a wonderful feeling of camaraderie and family.... what a special time to meet SSR FANs from across the nation & Canada that have shared their love of this truck with one another (mostly for me, on our website) ... some of us for 15 years! To meet and greet face to face and get acquainted with real faces was very special. The fabulous SSR assortment of both artistic & creative additions, PLUS the gorgeous engine work really blew my mind! Thankfully I was able to view a lot of creativeness and love!

My Co-Pilot Ellen was amazing ... she was fascinated by the excitement of the event and enjoyed all she learned about trains & SSRs. Amazing for 2 seniors who just met one another to be together 24/7 and enjoyed the fabulous drive, all the great FANTASTICS, trains, history of Ogden, and Geology of the areas on hwy 15 going home.

This will be a memory that will last forever, thanks to new friends, new adventures and a GREAT EVENT! Thank you again for all the planning, wonderful Motel, the gorgeous group of beautiful SSRs and owners, shuttle bus, great tour of Echo Canyon and trains, trains, TRAINS!

Hope to see you again Kerry!

Rope thanks for a great time at the get together. Met several R owners that were new to me. Had a great time with everyone. Hope we can do another one soon.

I saw these at the post office and thought some of you may be interested as a display piece. They sell for a little less than 10 bucks as shown.
