Awesome responses...great to see more people attending!!

Bad News:
Called Mama's Boy and they were unable to support the size of our group.

Update/Edited:
Brandon at the Hilltop Grille said they can and will support our group at 10am.

Well Alex, you will have to come over some other time to take Tina to Mama's boy. When you do, PM us and we'll go also. The good news is, I got my starter on so I won't have to drive Debbie's brand X. I'll be able to park with the rest of the pack.
See all you guys on the 3rd!

One thing that just eats my goat is a bunch of Georgia Doe Boys doing a breakfast get together without me.....I am a Georgia Doe Boy living in Florida, wishing I could be there. Any Doe Boy smart enough to do a little live broadcast for me? We have to sing Gloom, Despair and Agony on me....Woe!

100 percent chance of rain, at some point in time on Sunday, in Athens.

10% on Saturday, Zero percent on Monday...LOL...just our luck.

If you want to back out...no worries, Tina and I are still in.

@CruDawg . Was seriously thing about your breakfast (if you let out of staters join) but 4 1/2 hrs to Athens than would have to stop at the Outlets in Calhoun to please the Lovely Wife could turn into a expensive day. May be coming down to Monticello, Easter weekend. Have a good get together.

Robert,
An out of stater helped me with the idea for this breakfast, @Jersey red and he will be there...of course you are welcome to join!!
But if the shopping is going to set you back...which I understand completely...maybe some of us will be able to join you in April??

Is a ‘who’s your daddy’ from Indiana considered an outer stater??
Really, do you think Sinister is going to go out in the snow and rain for a couple of biscuits ??
And the Silver garage queen is still hibernating.

Cool

Not trying to stir the pot, just wanted everyone to know that Hilltop Grille does NOT serve Breakfast.
I'm okay with it just wanted to let those that haven't looked at the menu know.

Hilltop Grille
Mike brings up a good point...they serve "Brunch" which consists of: Crab Cake Benedict, Eggs Wellington, French Toast, Omelette of the Day, Shrimp and Grits, Steak and Eggs. It's not too late to change restaurants...but let's decide soon.

I just got off the phone with Brandon at the Hilltop Grille; in addition to the Brunch Menu, the Lunch Menu will also be available for anyone wanting more options.

I also asked Brandon if folks could order ala carte items like: eggs (cooked how you like them), bacon, toast, and grits...he said YES.

Sounds like Hilltop Grille serves a lot of YANKEE type food for brunch. ......

But I guess us good ole boys will be able to find some southern vittles anyway.

Nevertheless, OLDFRED will be smoking down hwy 78 at 8:00 AM Sunday. (target arrival about 9:30)

Georgia Family,

By now most of you have heard of the loss of our SSR brother Eric Peters.
Eric and I had a wonderful friendship and my heart is in pieces from his passing.
I am in a really dark place at the moment and I need time to grieve...
...that being said, I unfortunately request to be absent from tomorrow's gathering.

The Georgia Breakfast is not cancelled...but I need y'all to tell me what you want to do.
Please decide if you want to continue with breakfast tommorow or reschedule it.

There is a possibilty that the funeral or memorial for Eric could be next weekend, which I would attend...so if you would agree to change the date to 17 March, that might work better for Chuck & Jody, Tina & I, and a few others.

I will text you each to find out what you want to do...I need to give a headcount the owners of the Hilltop Grille.

So much for the big surprise and a taste of those southern grits. I got to southeast of Nashville and aborted the trip. No problem. Talked with Alwex and all is good. Met up with a Redline around Murfreesboro and had dinner and social time. Will head out in the morning and head back up to Indiana and snow.
