Lake Lure is beautiful and 10 minutes up the road is the Chimney Rock, the town and the mountain. Don't know if we will be able to make it back from Ogden to Maggie.

That has been my problem with registering as well. I could do it for sure, but would I enjoy being there or just want to sleep? And I would still have to drive home.

Don't want to HiJack the subject. Planning on stopping on way back to see Mt Rushmore, the Bad Lands and The Needles. Also to say HI to Auggie but if there is still snow there, than shot on over to Maggie. All depends on Mother Nature.

Looks like a nice Friday Cruise Phil ... 25 miles Southeast of Asheville on the backroads should be a beautiful drive. Menu at the La Strada Family Restaurant looks great also Phil, good variety. Thanks for "puttin' on the dog" You always do a good job (some times you drive too fast for us old folks please do not exceed the speed limit)

Please add tennesseecozydog, Jan & Bob !!! Praying for good health and beautiful weather.

Time to spare for what? To make it back to Maggie yes thats doable. I believe there are a few that are doing that. Just depends on the weather up in the Dakotas will decide what my plans are. You might want to put a feeler out there to see who are going to make the speedy trip back from Ogden to Maggie.

There is 5 days between the end of Ogden and the start of Maggie. With only 2k miles between the two, it would be 500 miles a day travel time and have a day to spare.

As for me, I will probably do it in three days.

The Dakotas around Sturgis, Mt Rushmore would be a easy 3 to 4 days and more if you go to the Battle of the Little Bighorn in Montana. Then go to Yellowstone and then down to Jackson Hole WY. Easy to spend two weeks doing all of this.
