With no codes appearing on the Tech 2 your assessment concerning checking the peripherals- laptop, cable or software- seems logical. My initial thought was related to airflow or vacuum, e.g. loose clamp or line/hose connection.
I uninstalled HP Tuner last night, and will attempt to download latest program this morning, even though the newest version didn't change anything yesterday.

I just hope I can remember how to set it back up - it's been a few years.

Sending a scan to Joe to see whether he can figure it out. Down to the cable, program or laptop as a source of the problem. Truck is fine.

Time to put inner fender liners and the front valance back on. Then reinstall the frame stiffener and wheels and get it back on the ground.
Ray

I sent you over Log and Configuration files to load into your HPT scanner.

Joe was able to steer me through installing the new files, and all seems back to normal on the scanner.

Thanks, Joe

I've been idling the truck until it gets to operating temperature and coolant pressure to make sure there are no leaks.

Joe says the idle scan looks good - glad to get HP Tuner back in operation.

The only significant operation left to do is to take the truck into my local Chevy dealership to have them recharge the A/C system. Hope that all works OK with no leaks. Replaced all the line seals even though a couple of techs said not to worry about it at 30K miles.

Clutch seems to work fine with the truck still on blocks. That remote bleeder is a nice piece.

With no apparent leak issues, I reinstalled the SE stiffening plate and the fender inner liners last night. Last thing left is to get the wheels back on, and move it around the yard a bit until I'm ready to plate it closer to the end of the month.

I'm running old school 10-30 Lucas Hot Rod oil with extra zinc at the recommendation of the engine builder. I'll be gentle with it for the first 500 miles or so.

Got the truck insured today. First run was uneventful. LS7 clutch feels good. Most notable difference was that I didn't get the annoying clunking sound when I released the clutch on an uphill stop. I guess having a single mass flywheel instead of the stock dual mass setup has advantages beyond the weight loss.

Run was quite gentle. I'll give it 500 miles or so of easy running to break in the engine and clutch.

Truck is back in the garage for a couple of hours so I can check for any signs of leaks.
