I just put a set of patriot 50" outside pipes on my 2004 SSR and they sound great. Haven't had chance to get on it yet to see if it runs any better with a more open Exhaust or not but it looks great also. retchief4

My SSR:
05 Black SSR. Magnacharger 2300, and then some.
I need to post an updated sound clip. I recently had the dual in/out Magnaflow muffler replaced with dual 18" magna flows and an X pipe. The SSR is soooo much quieter in the cabin and sounds better where the exhaust escapes out of Mikes 5" tail pipes. They reduced the pipes from 3" to 2 1/2" just after the magna flow cats. No drone and sounds great under full throttle. JP

Anyone install headers and a Magna Flow 15843 and been disappointed that the change was too loud? I have a appt. to put a complete custom exhaust and a tune($3300) Monday. Will I think it is too loud?

It has the chambered mufflers, not bullet style. So 1 7/8 longtubes, spun bodied cats, x-pipe and mufflers. All from Stainless Works.

oops, looks like I missed this question a few years ago. No. You are looking at the first ever mounting of a spare tire under an SSR. Wayne and I did our own thing 10 years ago. We had to fabricate some things and invent others. Still going strong.
