Dogwood Festival and Parade!

Dinerman has mailed out info on the festival/parade so I just want to add a little info. We usually meet on the Saturday morning before the parade at the Whataburger (only one in town which is just a short way from the staging area for the parade) about 8am for breakfast. This allows for us to drive in together for the parade.

Friday night dinner is at 8 at the Switch! We will meet at the host hotel before time.

Come on out for a fun time. Don Hobson feel free to call me 936 544 6473

With the rain this week I hope the Dogwoods are in full bloom. But, then it has always been about SSR Fellowship and the start of Topless Days in Texas.

After the parade we will go to a little tour of Davey Dogwood Park and take some pics. Then we can do either of two things. One - we can head back to town and eat at Bishop's Barbeque and then everybody head home or back to the festival for shopping or attending the car show. Two - we can head our from the park to the Texas Forest Trail (some pretty scenery) for a 30 min cruise and end up at a nice country café for lunch. Afterward the Dallas people can head home as we will be on Hwy 19 or in 15 minutes they can be back at the festival.

We are voting for the Texas Forest Trail and lunch.

Looking forward to seeing all.
