Another bowtie mystery....

This bowtie came with some other SSR materials I got from a former employee. There is factory slots in it and for the life of me, can not figure out what it would be for. I emailed him but I know he is busy.

Anyone know what these small slots would have been for? Thanks.

Looks like a place to mount a badge. This looks like it might be the gold bow tie from the spear or the tailgate so I wonder if there was something maybe planned for FPR or Signature that did not happen.

Obviously, just a guess.

I think there is a second bow tie overlay that goes over this one. Probably a mount alignment slit for it. I think they are two part bow ties

Regarding size....it is for tailgate. Heard back from him and he apologized....but just couldn't remember. Possible Malibu SS testing?

I think hotroddodd probably nailed it. I think a piece like that with some bowtie shaped red plastic would make a dandy center brake light.

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.
