Update 3/31/2019
Visited Lloyd and Eileen yesterday. Had a room full of family and really good upbeat spirits! His sons and wives are making plans, I think already have reservations, to attend the International Rally. One of his sons is going to drive Lloyd over in his SSR and his daughter-in-law is going to drive another car with Eileen aboard. The other son and wife are planning to join them in Branson. Lloyd’s mobility is improving daily.
Please keep the cheerful notes and cards coming.

Another update on Lloyd Swanson (Trike Rider). Lloyd had been experiencing shortness of breath and some chest discomfort recently. This prompted his doctor to bring him back to the hospital for tests to check for possible causes. When they ran the tests, they found that he had several blockages in his arteries that would require immediate action in order for these to be corrected. I stopped by the hospital today, and they have just completed the insertion of several stints (not sure of the number). The doctor felt that everything went as well as could be expected and with any luck he would be released to go back to the re-hab facility to continue his protocol for stroke recovery. A big sigh of relief for his family and everyone that knows them. Please keep Lloyd, Eileen and their family in your thoughts and prayers as they work to help him to recover from his condition.

Update 4/12/19 Second

Saw Lloyd this evening. He looks good and sounds mostly like his old self. Certainly does appreciate all the well wishes and prayers. Delivered a card to him. He appreciated very much the kind thoughts. It was great seeing him! He is looking forward to Branson!

Any wanting to send him a card or note can PM me for an address and I will get those to him.

Update 6/20/19
Lloyd and Eileen have had a rough last couple of months, but are improving. Lloyd has been in and out of the hospital several times for a variety of issues and been moved several times to different rehab hospitals. His support from Eileen and their family has been exemplary. Of course and on cue, insurance has been the typical PIA. But, they are now in a very nice assisted care facility and the nice thing is Eileen can now stay with him. He is still receiving physical therapy and his spirits are excellent. He looks much happier and healthy than just a couple of weeks ago.. A group of us is trying to make at least weekly visits. They are both planning and excited about attending the Branson Rally.
Thanks to those that have sent them cards and notes. I passed along another one that arrived last week.

Any wishing to send a card or note, send me a PM and I will respond with an address.

Cheers,
Lee
