What a great day! Not so great weather...in spite of it! Of course, show was cancelled so into plan B. We met for breakfast with Mic and Donna (@MicDonna), Robert and Doris (@SwtRyd), Jim and Linda (@runfaster), Wayne and Rosa
) and Jay (a local non-member but we're working on him!) then drove up to United States Air Force Museum in Dayton Ohio. (In the rain...awaiting SSR abuse comments)
This place is Huge! We wandered through seeing interesting and famous planes like Bocscar, the plane that dropped the second atomic bomb ending World War 2. We saw the type of jet that Robert @SwtRyd worked on while serving in Vietnam. Thank you for your service sir! They have 4 Air force ones you can walk through, including Kennedy's. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.
From there it was lunch at the spaghetti warehouse where we were joined by Mark and Marie
). Great food, great conversation and good talk about our Ohio chapter shirts that are coming soon!
had to head for home and the remaining crew headed to the Casino! Most of us donated to the cause(except Linda, but she didn't remember the big winner was buying dinner) Hmmmm....
Silver Spring House (you were right
) was the destination for dinner. Really good chicken and more great conversation.
All in all, I would do it again tomorrow. Lori and really enjoyed the company so I'm glad the weather didn't deter anyone from making the trip. In fact, it helped! Canceling the car show allowed the museum to be brought into play.
So thanks again everyone....see you down the road!
