Stepper motors at Branson??

Just curious if anyone is planning to offer stepper motor replacement at the Branson rally?

Mine need a little TLC and I thought if any of the guru's who do this were going to be doing it there, I'd put my name down.

Well, I am thinking of attending and if I do I can bring a few sets of steppers and tools if you can find assistance to pull the speedos out and have them ready to go.

Sounds like a "dash pulling party" might be on the horizon. Mike, please keep us informed if you choose the attend.

Regards, Mark.

Regards, Mark.

Right now we have reservations at the LaQuinta down the road, easier and cheaper for traveling with my buddy Peanut.
I will know more in August when the wife finalizes her vacation request. We just returned from CA so vacation time is a little tight but she thinks she can swing it. Will finalize later.....

My wife and I usually travel together but for this event, she said "go and have fun". She's not really into cars.

On the other side, she wants to do a weekend at a spa in Santa Fe. Guess what I said....

I will help pull the speedos. Just a suggestion if this works out a few tools that we have found helpful are a small ratchet with extension to get the top of dash bolts out and a good magnet so if you accidentally drop a bolt much easier to find it and retrieve it.

And something to grind or cut a notch in the tab to get a socket on those 2 top screws, would help for future access if needed.

Sounds to me like some people will be flat out busy as yankers, fixers, and installers, rather than enjoying the rally.
How could you possibly choose to do this over buying me drinks at the bar.

Want me to walk Peanut?

Stepper motors are the little electric motors the operate your dash gauges.

Uncle Bruce, I guess you can take Peanut for a walk but don't take him to the bar and teach him any bad habits

Is there a link to removing the tailgate somewhere?

I would like to have my lights replaced (in the dash) also.

Maybe if we can get a list together.

I have a customer that has a bad stepper motor. I can help him take the pod out but he needs to send it somewhere. There were a couple of repair sites on this Forum that said to send it to them and for $89.95 they would install all new Stepper Motors. Does anybody know where these sites are? If you do, please send an email to me at [email protected]. Thanks, Gary

Thanks Bruce, That is why I started HANDS ON TECH DAY, because I/ME my wife want to enjoy the Rally and not working.

I will talk about SSR HOW TO at TECH SEMINAR with Mike Moro but prefer not to "pull" "solder", "repair" SSR at Rally.

Bruce, I will buy you a drink at the bar.

Send it to me, I will replace stepper motors, LED, Needles, Face Plate and calibrate on bench, return for install. What ever you want done.

But not at the Rally, hope you understand.

If not, fire me!
