The wife and I headed north for a short little vacation today. Visited Bonner's Christmas Wonderland which is the world's largest Christmas store. Great dinner and a ride on a Mississippi style paddle boat. The Hot Rod turned heads all day! Traverse City tomorrow!

Found it on EBay, lucked out, was the only new one in old box. These have not been made for many years. Find a good used one. As long as it's clean it should be fine they typ. don't get any use.

Our Northern Michigan vacation continues! It was a perfect "Topless" 3 hour drive to Traverse City. All kinds of thumbs up and conversations every time we stopped at a traffic light or parked her at a restaurant or hotel. Not another SSR in sight! That's ok, we enjoy all the attention!

Larry, thanks for sharing your vacation pics with us...the Permagrin on both of you says it all!!

Btw, @xoxoxoBruce got it right. It's no wonder you don't bring your wife to the rallies, she is a babe! You'd have your hands full keeping all those old mountain lions away from your sweet little lamb!!!

"Gooz" Woodbury is in Cannon County (right next to us) and it is known for their moonshine, illegal and legal (Short Mountain Still is now legal) Kids drive loud old trucks and cars and their parents drive old quiet cars and trucks. Actually the only town in Cannon County. We got a Wal Mart on their side of town and they claim it and they even call it the Woodbury Wal Mart and they're 20 miles from the east side Murfreesboro plus Jan & I live just up the street, 3 miles north. Crooked good ole boys politics, sex with female jail inmates plus town is 99% caucasian. I think they inter marry and grow "mari wanna" in their back yard. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to everybody. As we have done every year for the last 25 years we went out to the Murrieta California Fathers Day Car Show.

This was the 47th annual MFDCS, and we took the little Red truck, could not enter her as the youngest cars allowed are 1980, lots of 30, 40, 50, and 60, era cars and trucks.

At 9:30am the temps were in the 90's, so TOP DOWN and off to celebrate us Fathers and Grandfathers at a nice breakfast, not a bad day.

Happy Fathers Day.

Took our SSR to several car shows this year. The clubs here all have the same rule. Only 1980 and older can be in the show. They let me park in the general area with hood up etc. but they make it very clear I am not in the show. I do get a lot of lookers and answer a lot of questions so it is fun but can't join the clubs and can't officially be in the show.

That is nothing more than pure SSR discrimination!

I'm sure even though they have a cutoff for dated vehicles they are extremely glad you show up with your awesome truck. It does nothing but add to the show.

You 'da man, Auggie ~~ REPRESENT!!

Returned from our Northern Michigan vacation and with only 30 miles from home, a passing truck throws a stone and cracks my windshield about the size of a 50-cent piece on the driver side! Now I wish I would have bought one of those last remaining OEM windshields from the Warehouse! Despite that disappointing moment, my little Hot Rod looked and ran like a Champ the whole week!

Took Old Yella out for a short ride. On the way home got gas and the fun began. The key would not go to the off position, got gas took Yella home and started research on the site and contacting Mr. SSR, Dicktator.

Preventive maintenance is a must, but if it's not broke, don't fix it !!! Unless it makes it Prettier or Faster !!!

Sorry to hear that Larry, there is a list for good after market replacements, not had to do that myself as of yet. I think it was Dicktator.
