It was not my intention to scold Gr8XLr8r, or anyone, just a reminder we're not dealing with a big greedy corporation here. Mike's our friend.

I was trying to be kind as I am aware of some of Mike's recent situations. I am also from Canada which I understand can create other shipping and handling delays. My next order in a few days is going to be the ABS heat shield.

The air dam fit perfectly and installed in less than 5 minutes. I can only hope that my first trip on the Ferry system in British Columbia doesn't quickly remove it for me, The final ramp entry to the ferries can sometimes, depending on the tide have a steep angle going on the ferry or coming off. I will probably also be stopping a little short on those nose in parking spots at places like automotive stores, either that or taking the time where allowable to back in instead.
No problem as to clearance Clive. Ours has been on and off the Island/ferry several times. If you ask, they may put you on the 'truck' deck ... after all, it is a truck!

I finally got the time to remove and replace the center roof seal. What a pain getting the glue and foam off to replace with new seal. But I got it. Then I got underneath and started my POR15 touchup. Started to pack the car care products for the trip to Maggie Valley. More POR work tomorrow.

Where did you acquire your seal? Mine has a bad spot, no leak just doesn't look right. Seal also has multiple small cracks.

My advice is if it doesn't leak don't mess with it! Almost all seals have some small areas witch look bad, Try protecting the rubber with 303 or some other product recommended on the forum, But don't create a leak if you don't have one!!

Congrats! That is one sharp ride.

First show for our new R is in about three weeks. Sponsored by the car club we just joined. Local, not a big one so good for sticking our toes (tires?) in the water. Clay-barred, waxed, interior detailed and scheduled to be cut, polished and waxed again in about two weeks. Fingers crossed the sun graces us with its presence!

Next door neighbor has a 1951 blue Chevy pickup. We'll be parked side-by-side. Ought to get some "then and now" double-takes! Not expecting to win anything... just in it for the fun.

Congratulations again voodoophantom... should be a great summer!

I didn't do much with mine today

But I did help Studmuffin, probably our youngest member with some upgrades.
In preparation for his first rally at Maggie Valley.

We installed some parts from Simple Engineering. Lower radiator support, ABS heat shield and the trans cable fix.

Tim actually got his hands dirty.
Way to go Tim.

Didn't do anything with my yellow lady, but I did clean up the big black heifer. I sold our 5th wheel Friday and now will be putting the big black up for sale. Washed and waxed it all nice. It was hard watching them pull out with the wife's pride and joy. I decided I didn't want to keep it as it just doesn't have the same feeling with her gone. Besides at 42' I didn't know what to do all by myself. If anyone knows of anyone looking for a great 3500 daily, it's a 2011 with 183k on the meter. 6.7 Cummins w/ 6speed auto. Mega cab. Larimie edition. Going g to be priced at $30,000.

Sorry to say, Old Yella, sat in the garage with blanket on because of the ungodly amount of love-bugs. I really don't like love-bugs.

Preventive maintenance is a must, but if it's not broke, don't fix it !!! Unless it makes it Prettier or Faster !!!

Got HOLYRLR out and gave her a good run in the country side. It was a really nice day and got up to 68 degrees with lots of sun. Like Dave said not as much fun alone. When I stopped at a place a lady asked me if it was brand new and did I build it myself? What can you say?

Just got home from a nice long visit and lunch with Miss Doris and Robert (SWR RYD). Of course both of us were topless. We had put the tops up to go eat and when I came out mine would not go down. I got all flustered evidently and hit the cargo area button when I opened the doors so the lid was just cracked. Robert came to the rescue and saw it and slammed it shut, and Bam, top down. I went home and they were on there merry way to Mount Rushmore and crazy horse and hill city and all those other wonderful spots in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. The visit was short but sweet. Happy Trails.

Just finished waxing entire truck, whew. These rigs sure do have a lot of shiny surfaces to polish, what with front and rear fenders separate from the body itself each with its own top and sides + the bed cover which a standard pickup generally will not have unless added. At least the top(roof) is small & relatively easy to get to. Interior is quite clean but still must go there next so she will be ready for a local show or two. That is what I did to mine today!
