The Doophus and I met Jim (aka Smokey) at the Little Anthony's Diner and Car Show for Lunch and some Drooling / Snooping.

On the way home The Doophus "chowed down" on about 70 bucks worth of Shell V-Power Premium and is now taking an RRR.

replaced main fan & both belts as maint items. used this as a teaching opp for the GrandSon. he's left-handed, so PopPop has to remember to switch brain-sides before giving instructions... ... He did great, didn't break any connectors, x-thread anything, and all functioned properly on the "road test".. Tomorrow, it'll be the Dreaded Ign Switch.... Hawk has been "intermittant start" for a couple of months, and I think it's narrowed down to this.

Devin is 6'4" and left handed.... let's see how he handles the ign switch...

(he's the only boy in 5 grand kids) po thang!

Ran a movie back to red box. Had to dodge the usual stupidity out there on the roads.
Classic for today is missing an exit so they back up (with no reverse lights), can't go straight so they are in both lanes as I go past and traffic approaching at 50 mph. What funů not.

Trailer brake controller all done. Accessory wiring all done. Footwell lights finished. Took a drive over to where I store the race car and trailer. Plugged it in and verified everything was working normally. Told Blue Voodoo what a good girl she was, then covered her up all snug an cozy for the evening. It'll be a top-down trailer pull tomorrow to set the brake force and sensitivity, then I just need some place to go race!

Drove it around today to get various things . . . lunch, legos, a lamp and a back-up ignition switch. Didn't put the top down, but it was nice enough to. It's beautiful here today!

Nothing!

I had hoped to give it a good bath before going down for winter hibernation. It hasn't been washed since getting soaked on the Covered Bridge Tour event. But, since it took me 2 days to deal with the truck, I had no time to "work" on the 'R. I did drive it on Saturday though!

Sunny day - quick run to the store. Had beautiful top down days on Monday & Thursday but starting to get pretty cool, even with the sunshine.
Looks like I might have more sunshine than insurance - only 6 more sleeps and Kate is in hibernation.

Nope. When the shift cable comes off of the shift lever all you have is "loose" cable.
I'd think the problem is either with the ignition switch or that brake interlock gizmo in the shifter console.

In either case, it is a good time to do the shift cable re-fit from Dictator.
I did my '04 this summer and I was glad to eliminate the future problem.
