They forgot one of the most important

a fresh battery for your remote control alarm system.
Mine would not unlock the SSR when it's battery died.

I never did find a by pass just installed fresh battery

Have everything but multi tool and quarters. Will take care of those items tomorrow.

I have all 9, and will add one to the list ... portable fire extinguisher!

They forgot cell phone, credit card and towing insurance because most likely if it quits it is going to a shop. Not much chance of fixing it on the side of the road now-a-days. Ha! Ha!

And a bottle of Captain Morgans Rum....while your waiting for the tow truck.

I like to keep an old camera in the SSR so I can take a photo if there is an accident or other reason

Cappy 06-11-2017 06:41 PM

You always have a camera: It's called an iPhone or equivalent 😆👍

Lately down here in Florida I always have my 14 shot 9MM along for the ride. No, I don't see a carjacking in my future.

You just never know when or where a "Rattlesnake" might show up. Better safe than sorry.

I also have a portable potty I brought home from the hospital. Never know about being stuck in traffic.

Bad remote battery

I seem to learn something new each week by reading the forum. So if the remote battery goes bad and if I use my key to unlock the door the ALARM will go off and there is no way to shut it off. Is this correct? If so guess it would be a good idea to change the battery every year or so. Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I drive mine in the rain and just love the way the water runs right off.

Oh no. You can't turn off the alarm by turning the key in the ignition?
