You're OK, I think the method that is cautioned about here, is an external method that does not require access to the interior of the R.

Not to pry, but

I don't think the button in the glove box frame is a secret.

As far as the external "secret" one, a thief is more likely to use a pry bar.

I'm just saying.

A former thief admitted he used the car forums to get info on access to certain models like C6 corvette doors.
Let’s not make it easy for them.
Sorry for being blunt but I’ve had our C6 broke into by some one that knew where the “hidden” door releases were.
Better safe than sorry

Did anyone come up with an answer? I'm in the same fix. Owners manual is no help. Neither the remote nor the glove box button works. Fuse is good (#6 under the hood). We're on a trip and our luggage is trapped in the back. Help.

If the fob and button are both not working, it could be a electrical power issue (or more precisely a lack there of) but another issue is that if your emergency release in the bed has been pulled and has a kink in the cable it will keep the bed release relay energized, prevent solenoid from firing again and drain the battery as well ....

The relay will be warm/hot if it is being continuously energized.

EDIT... I did go ahead and remove some of the info provided above because the right (wrong) person could read between the lines to use some of that info.
