You have to have something like 15 posts to Personal Message another member. If you post the members handle, he/she might read it or hear of it through the grapevine.

This Dawg might be able to help (a little).

Instead of PMing them, to get someone's attention you can mention them by putting an @ symbol in front of their handle/callsign/site name...like this:

Hey @Tbaxter120

You should now seen a mention in your "Notifications" area at the top of the page next to your site name.

Hope this worked/helped. If not, just keep replying to me and @xoxoxoBruce until you get to 15 posts!!

And it worked too! First time I had seen that. I tried to do the same but didn't know about the @ sign! Thanks CruDawg! Learn something every day!

I got a PM the other day from a newbie with only one post and was trying to figure it a=out as well. Maybe they changed the rules and did not tell us? Naw, that would never happen

Maybe a new member can send PMs but can't receive them until they get to 15 posts?

I didn't know about the @ trick. Right now I have 148 notifications. If I have a PM a notice pops up when I sign in, so I look at that. But never check the notifications, although I did clear them once.

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.
