Hood emblem repair-no glue

This repair was done to my R by the previous owner.

I think it is pretty ingenious.

No glue, just 3 small L brackets & 3 sheet metal screws & (3) 1/4-20 bolts & nuts.

It is very strong and I can actually lift the hood using it.

Yes Walt, that will definitely work, I just don't want to put holes in emblem.

Eric Peters aka MPD1 made Fiberglass support that requires no holes, no drilling which I believe is a good alternative. Anyone can OPEN hood with this support and not worry about breaking.

Can now be ordered from Mike aka https://shop.simple-engineering.com/ with portion going to estate.
