I had found a site that claims their flip keys will work with our Rs called nmtciastore, but the domain was only registered last month by someone named Elmer Lunsford with an address in Toomsboro, GA. It's hosted by GoDaddy but I'm always leary of brand-new sites, especially when they want my CC info. It looks like a drop-ship business which isn't necessarily bad, but...

I deleted the link from my original post and attached a screenshot instead.

hotroddodd said that they haven't found anyone selling flip keys for our Rs though. But if anyone's dealt with that business or knows of any others it would be good to know. Ideally I'd like to put our somewhat bulky key/fob combo away and have less to carry around.

What is a "FLIP KEY FOB"? Never heard that term before.

Key folds up inside the fob, flips out from the side with the push of the button in the corner. Some call them "switch blade keys".

I've had them for several other cars, foreign and domestic. Really nice.

That is pretty cool. Never saw such a thing before.

The picture does not show a button for the bed cover. I would think if you are targeting the specific vehicle you would use the proper fob. my .02

Chevy dealer or locksmith the same as a replacement fob.

Quick follow-up to my earlier post about finding a new-ish key fob to harvest the buttons for the one I have which were getting pretty worn.

I ordered one off of eBay that said it was for a Saturn Ion where the trunk button showed a truck. The one I received was the typical one that displayed a car on the trunk button. I contacted the seller and he said there was no such thing as a truck with a trunk. I politely informed him that, well, yes in fact, there sort of was/is. He was curious then and asked for a little more info but that was it. I returned it and he gave me credit. I told him that he should remove the image of the one with a truck on the trunk button because other buyers might also be disappointed. The image is still there.

I found another one listed for a few dollars more. This time I sent them a note asking if they had one that actually had the truck image. They confirmed that they did. I made sure to note that detail with my PayPal payment.

I received the new fob yesterday and ta-dah, it's the right one, and looks brand new at that!

This is a link to the seller's eBay listing. I don't know if they have more, but they were very fast to respond and came through for me.

Again, I just wanted to replace the rubber buttons in my existing fob. Only took a few minutes to swap them out and I replaced the battery (#2032) at the same time.
