Cool Need a good fix for my hood ornament

Looking for a good fix for my hood ornament. All three connection points are disconnected. Tried the 2 part JB Weld fix. Any good fixes out there? Thanks in advance. Dennis

Check with your local Chevy Dealership, they have an epoxy that seems too harden and keep the tabs strong enough. Mine was broken at the Dealership and they repaired it, no problems since.

There was a Fanatic a couple of years back that was making new aluminum replacements on his C&C. They weren’t inexpensive but looked indestructible. If you are willing to search the “Parts for Sale” forum you can probably find the thread. Perhaps someone else might chip in with the Fanatic’s name.

Follow up: it was Tozbee who made the replacement hood emblems.

I found a NEW material for a "fix" on emblem attachment mounts.

Really, Really works, expensive but worth it. I have repaired several with great success.

MAX GLUE, LLC, Max 1 Instant Glue | The Only Glue You'll Ever Need Phone 941-815-8288 Punta Gorda, Florida 33951

Be sure you sand coating off and use filler to attach.

That said, Eric MPD Emblem support is the best, unfortunately Eric passed recently and Mike Moro has mold and has permission to reproduce Eric's work.

What do you mean by "use filler to attach"??? Aren't you using the Max Glue to attach the broken mounting tabs to the emblem? What and where is the filler used for?

I don't have a problem with mine. But I often thought if I did, I'd take the truck to a body shop and have them cut out the opening. I like the "hood scoop" look and I'd bet the extra air flow wouldn't hurt either.

Mine has a different hood and it eliminated the chrome piece. Love the look.

Previous owner put it on. Don't know who made it.

The back is open by the windshield. I really like it.

Would ypu be kind enough to post a couple pics of the underside of your hood? Thanks!

Auggie, that hood lets hot air out, not cold air in, right?
Where does it drain water to, over by the hinges?

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.
