GOOD MORNING, SWT, Roger, JD, Ron, Kevin, Rob, Krazy and Gang.

Looks like another "Not A Cloud In Sight" day coming up. Upper 40s now but the experts say low 80s for later.

I sure hope they are correct.

Good morning GANG! Looks like you guys finally got our bad weather. Another beautiful sunny day here at 50 degrees so far and rising. Snow is melting fast and most of it is gone already. Doesn't take long once it warms up. Had waffles with peanut butter and grape jelly and syrup over the whole thing. Maybe a little too much sugar but sure was good. Just finished TV church and on to some work project or a nap. Have a good day.

Well never got my nap I was talking about. Went out in shorts and tee shirt and shoveled the deck in 55 degrees sunny weather. Zoey helped, right. Came into rest and every person I know called me to see if I was okay. On the phone for hours and I don't like phones. My mother always said "No rest for the wicked". Fed Zoey now got to round up something for me. Later.

ATTENTION SSReplay (St. Louis Cardinals season ticket holders) ... saw something yesterday that really peaked my interest !!! Jim & Lois, who are the 9 greatest baseball players that wore a single digit number on their uniform ??? #1 and #6 were a no brainer. #3, #,4 .#5 and #9 were a piece of cake. #2, #7 and #8 really stumped me.

#1 Ozzie Smith St. Louis Cardinals
#2 Derek Jeter Yankees
#3 Babe Ruth
#4 Lou Gehrig
#5 Joe Dimaggio
#6 Stan Musial St. Louis Cardinals
#7 Mickey Mantle
#8 Cal Ripkin Orioles
#9 Ted Williams

Saw 1, 5 & 6 play !!!

Today is Jackie Robinson Day in the Major Leagues. 1947, April 15th, Robinson became the first African American to play in the National League. Larry Doby in Cleveland was second and the first in the American League. First baseman Tom Alston was the first African American to play for the St. Louis Cardinals causing the Cardinals to trade fan favorite Enos Slaughter to the New York Yankees for pitcher Vic Raschi. Later Elston Howard became the first Yankee African American player. No, I didn't have to look this up ... back in the 50's there was only 16 Major league teams so this was a "project" of mine to know these players and who they played for. Born a Cardinal fan and a Chevy man February 1, 1940 and still loyal to the "Birds on the Bat" and C H E V R O L E T !!! Bob Alexander
