Are you gutter predjudice !

From a gutters point of view, everything is on the positive "uphill" side of life !

FYI
Mobil, Shell and Citgo in my area of CT

$3.15 - 87 octane
3.25 - 89 octane
3.35 - 91 octane (but we get cashiers telling us they mix the tanks)

DIESEL $3.80, and the summer landscaping/excavation season hasen't even started.

This morning ---- passed a shell station where mid grade was 3.179. This afternoon on the way home - 3.259!

Bet it all had to do with oil topping $100 a barrel.

This makes absolutely NO SENSE!!! Why is diesel so much more over the past 2-3 years?

Unhappy Gas prices

Gas here in the high desert in Ca. is $302.9 regular at Costco. Not good but it has been worse, and I know its going to go through the roof shortly. The oil company's have us by the short hairs and they know it and we can't really do anything about it unless you can walk , ride your bike or use public transportation. IT SUCKS!!!

Outrageous fuel cost & SHORT HAIRS

Everyone knows it takes less processes to create diesel fuel then unleaded fuel.

What everyone does not understand is the point that "everything you consume DAILY" gets hauled to and from the place it is made (Perdue chicken farm, unleaded fuel) and sold from (WalMart, Mobil) by a tractor trailer truck and/or locomotive which CONSUMES diesel fuel.

One might say "there's more cars on the road then trailer trucks or locomotives", which is correct, but autos get MUCH better MPG then a trailer truck or locomotive which moves the supplies.

Hence the price daily increase is due in part to "supply & demand", and the fact that our president and his father and friends are OIL brokers. Big business runs this country, so get used to it, illegal immigrants and high fuel prices will NEVER go away !

Hope that clarifys things a bit for you.

Okay...with my 90 mile round trip commute I have to fill the truck up every 3rd day and today at the Chevron in La Palma, CA which has very fast pumps btw......my truck ate 17.706 Gallons @ $3.219 = $57.00 yeah I'm one of the few that tops off at the whole number. I figure I use my credit card to earn more points......need to make use of my Visa Rewards card some how.

WAIT!!!!!!!! They charged me more...:

17.706 Gallons x 3.219 Dollars = $56.995614 WTH!! I'm going back for my 0.004386¢

Price here just went up 12 cents since this morning.

Was $2.95 pg now its $3.07 pg.

The blazer aught to last at least another 4 weeks on its tank, but the wifes truck sucks down 30 gallons a week.

Hers is more efficient 17-18 mpg with a 26 gallon tank compared to the Blazer's 10-12 MPG with a 32 gallon tank. But then again hers gets driven more than the Blazer does.

BTW.... I think they're gearing up for summer already and want it up over $4 PG before summer even starts. JMO, which probably doesn't matter.

A new record!!!!!!

Gas prices reached a new record of $ 8,70/gallon.
The old record of 2005 (Hurricane Katharina) was $ 8,55/gallon.
But this was with an barrel price of only $ 70.
With the present price of $ 100, we are awaiting an increase of another 30%!!:

WOW, Lee . . . that's a BARGAIN.

I fueled the "tanker" earlier this afternoon and it was a hefty $3.399 per gallon for Shell V-Power Premium.

By the way, that did include a special little clean-up rag . . . NO CHARGE.

Nah, I can buy my own microfiber rags. I know it's a comparative bargain here but I'll have to pay through the nose (No pun intended) on the road to and from Florida.
