I put some premium fuel in tonight and the cost was over $5.00 per gallon CDN. I would love to trade fuel bills with you.

we have the highest price on the continent, right here in the lower mainland of BC. I saw $1.61 CAN/litre. I think that's close to $5 US/gallon

turnheadz, I am in Alberta and maybe a pipeline to the west coast would help.

Sandy $1.61 a litre is about $6.24 a us gallon. (3 7/8 litres equals 1 US gallon)

Not at all! Canada is exporting most of its petroleum to the US now. A pipeline west would just make it easier to export to Asia.

Look at what is going on down here. The US is currently producing more petroleum than ever in our history, yet our domestic cost is skyrocketing! Why? Most of the oil is being exported to Asia and Europe where it can be sold for a higher profit.

The oil companies, and by extension the government, are not interested in lowering fuel costs for domestic users. Make no mistake, profit and greed are their guiding principles!

David

PS: Premium this morning at my local Costco was at $3.319/gal, up $0.12 this week...

that's exactly where it's going. We all agree, greed is the only factor leading this assault on the motorists..... And the government is right in there busy collecting their taxes on it. So, the higher the price, the more taxes they collect.

Sandy, I was just teasing you. We pay tax on the total dollar amount so the higher the bill the more we pay. But the U.S. pay tax on the gallon and that has to make a difference,

Filled up today at Costco with premium 93 octane for $2.84 a gallon. I’m reading all these posts and we are very lucky on the price of gas in my area. I live in Birmingham,Al. I’m heading back to Daytona Beach next week and I wonder what it is down there...

$2.75 for 93 octane at Sams Club yesterday. Prices haven’t gone up here yet.
