Question box in my emojis

I have a box in the listing of Emoji's that covers many items.
It is something about PHOTOBUCKET third party hosting.
HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS ?

Yuck - Just noticed I have one as well - probably been there a day or so and just been too blind to notice it.
I will send a link of this thread to Administration but I have to leave very early morning and gone all day

Somebody posted about that last week. Something about "Photobucket" no longer Free. You need to pay them or get somebody else. I think that was the short story. Since I'm too dumb to post Pictures-----

Photobucket has changed the way they operate. The only way you can link to your account now is to pay 9.95 per month or 99.00 a year. You can use the storage here or I use flicker.com.

you once had a picture from photobucket and cannot use it now so you see that. Photobucket bites, friends don't let friends use photobucket. Use IMGUR instead, it is a very good, FREE site and easy to use. Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

If you used Photobucket to host your images, they recently changed their 3rd party hosting rules so they no longer support this. That's why you'll see that 'broken' image. And they want you to cough up $399 for the year if you want to be a premium member. However if you never used photobucket but you are getting this from YOUR own threads/images, please post the thread links here.

If you are seeing this image from OTHER members threads where their images should be, it means that person used Photobucket to host their images and now they're not working.

We are aware of this issue and our techs are looking for a solution to alleviate these issues. In the mean time, we encourage our members to use the attachments on the site to ensure your images won't be affected. Along the way, we will post up any fixes we find that work for members - as such, we've found one recently.

For Chrome users we came across an extension that will enable you to see the broken images hosted from PB. Another temp fix for now (who knows how long it'll hold up) but here it is:* https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...ifiaedg?hl=enm

^Click the link and choose to add the extension to Chrome. Then, you want to go to the Extensions main page. It's located in the top right corner menu button, the one that is 3 dots. Or, you can try this link: chrome://extensions/

Find the one you just added (it's icon is the shape of a puzzle piece) and check the box that says "Allow Access to File URLs"

Clear cookies in cache, load up a page with a Photobucket link, and let us know if that worked for you.

Thank you,
Natalie

Heya,

We have removed that broken link to the image in the Smilies pop-up.

The image must have been hosted on Photobucket.

Thanks for the notice.

It would be Nice if the techs could make it SIMPLE to post pictures like Face Book, Email, Craigs list,--- tap "add photo" (no mouse on my MacBook Pro), pictures come up, scroll to the one you want, tap "choose" end of story--without all the IT Speak--cache, URL, extension to chrome, cookies, too big, re-size, whatever else us computer dummies don't understand! Hey, then no 3rd party, surprise party, or any other party.imagine that. Sorry, end of rant. Thanks

Nick

That's your prerogative, but if you have your photos open you don't even tap add photo, you pull them on to the big bar that says drag files here to attach right under where you type and hit post

Thumbs down

I've had this PB Box popping up for a couple of weeks now.

Here's what I've been doing --- to the honest best of my memory I've NEVER used PB, NEVER HAVE & HAVE NO PLANS to use it. That being said my course of action was to completely ignore it. That is also my plan of action on into the future.

I'm hoping I'll be safe by ignoring it and "going around" it. Pretty much refusing to be held hostage by something I NEVER signed up for.

Richard, it seems to pop up periodically in my field of emogies when trying to post.

Its annoying but nothing to "ruin my day" over. I've just been ignoring it for the most part. I've also seen the same PB box when I'm looking at other Fanatic's post.

Hey Warrior=='06,

Can you take a screenshot of what you're seeing? Is it appearing for all your emojis or for some? If it's only a specific one, let us know which one. It looks like the emojis are hosted by PhotoBucket so you're seeing them affected now with the recent changes going on at PB.

We apologize for the inconvenience but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Cheers,
Natalie

Natalie, the "offending box" takes the place of the "woo hoo" emoji and no others that I've noticed. Also, it isn't there all the time but sporadically, hit or miss.

Not sure if any of this will help or not but thanks for trying.
