Will take a bit of getting used to but so far, so good. I personally thought the older site was a bit clunky.

I see we are still restricted to 5 per post. Any chance we can double that, or more?

No need to shout,(all caps.) Just asking. I realize that I can stay on the Classic if I like. I was just trying to help with a suggestion to maybe "blend" the new with the old and it would go down easier. You know, " a spoonful of sugar."

Not meant to be at you just wanted people to notice since many have not read the first post.

Sorry if it came off that way.

Another request to get SMOT off the Active topics and New Post pages. Changing to classic view does not correct this issue.

Gives the newbies a chance to find it, Dwight

But I'm with you, it really doesn't need to be listed with new posts or active topics.

This is not the first time the site has been upgraded, and it won't be the last. You'll get used to it, just as we have before.

I do agree with BlueStreak...get SMOT off the new posts and active topics

I see that some folks are already upset with posts in SMOT - even asking moderators to remove the posts as they don't belong on the forum. While I personally was not in agreement with the SMOT forum when it began, its here but it needs to be hidden once again.

I post photos the same way, as a thumbnail.

Others post photos that are full sized. Never figured out how they do it. I remember that Blackie used to get 8 or 10 large photos on a post, and others are doing it as well.

Do administrators have an answer?

The folks with the full size photos are using photo sharing sites like flickr, shutterfly, photobucket, etc

Follow the administrator instructions to return to classic view. So far, the site shows up in classic mode whenever I log in, so haven't had to do it every time as someone else had suggested.

I like the SSR logos being either gray or bright with a red R if there are new posts in a section.

The generic envelopes on the new site are a step backward in appearance.

Bummer. I like the large photos, but if someone leaves a site all we see are little x instead of photos.

That is the problem the red background with small black text in the dropdo2wn boxes is difficult to read.

Making it darker makes it worse!

But the white text is easier to red than the black text.

I think it should be excluded from New Posts and Active topics as it has been since shortly after it was created. There was considerable discussion leading up to that decision.
