The first of 826 Final Production Run SSR's left the assembly line at the Lansing Craft Centre on February 15, 2006.

*Note Canadian Z49’s
1SA = 1SS
1SB = 2SS
1SC = 3SS
The Z49 1SA,B & C's are included in the 1SS, 2SS 3SS totals above but can be viewed separately below.
** VYJ is interior and exterior chrome package.
** Information reconfigured from Byers "Last of" Threads.

The Z49 Canadian FPR’s
Z49 is the RPO for a Canadian Build SSR. The primary difference is the U19 metric odometer.
Also GM Canada saved ink and didn't put any "R" Codes on the Build Sheets.
Hence, Z49 Canadian FPR's do not have the R6K Final Production Run designation on the Build Sheet.
I thought I would extricate the VIN's and note the colour totals.

Although I have seen stated that orders were processed as received I don't believe this was necessarily the case.
It appears to me different RPO combinations were often grouped, 6speeds being an overt example.
It seems Canadian orders were processed first as a significant number of the first VIN's in each colour were Z49 builds.
Very few of the latter 2/3 of the VIN sequence were Z49. Of course, later orders would be filtered in as they showed up.

Thanks for the breakdown and effort Cash. I notice one difference in the Aqua Blur specs that are different than Byers list. Byers has 41 FPR's and 18 with the chrome package. Did you locate one more? Thanks.

6 FPR 6 Speeds in Aqua Blur
41 Aqua Blur FPR
18 FPR's With VYJ

The years teach much which the days never knew.

I am just in the process of going over my numbers again. I was going crosseyed last night.
Basically, this is mostly rejigging Byers numbers into another format for the most part anyway.
Mike had to do a lot of Build Sheet viewing to do his lists for sure.
I haven't had a chance to talk to Mike but some of the Total #'s of FPR's per colour in Byers Last Of Threads are incorrect by 1.
Mike subtracted bottom number from top but insodoing that method does not include the bottom number.
Those of us that have pornographic memories are going to have to do a Roger Clemens and "misremember" a few stats!
Give me an hour and I will have had time to go over all this again.

Thanks Mike. As I mentioned earlier, it's all your hard work reformatted to deal with FPR's only.
It must have taken you forever to sort all that out!

Post #1 numbers have now been double checked and columns recalculated. I believe everything should now be correct.

Great info, Dale

A couple of minor discrepancies to check out.

I've sent PMs to two other Fanatics who have Canadian spec FPRs to confirm with them.

Mine (23387) came with the FPR badge installed, but the FPR designation is not on the build sheet. When I requested a reprinted window sheet with the designation on it, GM Canada had no interest in doing that. I can't get a reprinted window sheet from GM US, because it's a Canadian vehicle.

I remember being really excited about the badge when I first saw JR's truck in the showroom at Nicholsons in Edmonton, because I didn't know until that time that the trucks were badged - but I sent JR a PM to confirm my mind is in fact fully operational.

Let you know when I find out about the other two.

When I sat down with the dealer to order mine, the GM build system showed the other color combinations as available. I initially was going to order an Silver/Aqua Blur, then changed it to s Silver/Black. The order may have been rejected by GM if the order had been sent in, but the other combinations were available on the build system. Neither the Canadian or US 2006 brochure makes any mention of the alternative color combinations. Both show a black/silver combination "Extra cost option" on one photo.

It wouldn't be the only time that has happened.

My 2010 Silverado Crew Cab has a Cashmere interior. According to the dealership build system, the GM.ca online consumer build system, and the Canadian brochure, that interior color is not available with a red exterior.

Apparently I have an extremely rare crewcab. Perhaps I should park it because of its historical significance.

Checked through some old photo files. Found a shot I took of JR's truck in March 2006 in Edmonton. Definitely shows the badge. I feel better knowing I haven't totally lost my marbles.

. I will delete this portion from original post.

Response to Flassh's post.
I misinterpreted an old thread. Indeed the Z49's do have the FPR badge, but the Build Sheet does not reflect this.
I went through all Z49 Build Sheets I have accumulated and all but 2 are devoid of "R" codes.
These 2 have "R6Z & R9Z" codes which are destination codes. The build sheets only state the codes with no explanation beside them.
I don't have all of these but examples are:
R6M - New Jersey
R8Q - Illinois
R9Q - Indiana

I will edit my original post to delete the reference to the FPR Badges not being in place. It is just the RPO that is not on the build sheet. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Ray.

Yes, I should have mentioned.
As FPR's are obviously 2006 models Jay placed this thread in The Heritage Center found on the SSR Forum home page under "MY2006". https://www.ssrfanatic.com/forum/f84/

I have just acquired a FPR here in the UK, What a real treat it is, in superb condition only 20000 miles and imported about a year ago. I would love to find out more on its history and possible build. I believe, new May 4th 2006 from Allen Gwynn Chevrolet. It is Richchet Silver/Smokin' Asphalt Vin ser 23711.
Any Help on its previous life would be really appreciated.
Regards from the UK to all you SSR owners . Paul

Where are you located in the UK? Do you meet with or know of other SSR owners?

I am 50 miles north of London, As I am still very much a beginner,I have only seen one other SSR, which was for sale, it was an all Red 2003 also in immaculate condition kept in a heated garage! but as I was really looking for a FPR I passed it by. I have since seen 3 others for sale on the web in the UK, but yet to see one on the road. As I attend a few of the American car shows over here, I should have some fun with the top down once this snow stops falling and the weather warms up, coldest winter for many years and still a few months to go. If anyone is over here I would be only to pleased to meet up for a beer. Paul
