If anyone has purchased Billet items from Dragon2u (Mike), you know there are slots/grooves in them. I decided to paint every other one Red. Well that didn't go to good, with paint coming up when you pull tape off. So I used 1/4 " red pinstripe tape. Don't know if I like it or not. Definitely different. Pictures aren't the best.

I like it. Kind of breaks up all that shiny stuff!

I saw once, a while back, maybe a Youtube video? They were applying paint into grooves like those, with a hypodermic needle. The paint flowed into the groove and they'd stop as the paint rose to the edges. Again I never did this but it looked impressive and easy.

You know Dino said the same thing. The lovely wife says there is something wrong with me. Don't know what she means.

I did something similar last year before Maggie valley, but did every groove. I was hoping to reveal something else at maggie valley this year, but it's not looking too promising. Still my have fingers crossed but l might be running out of time.

Looks great SWT RYD but you must have to much time on your hands that looks like a lot of work, but the results are worth it.

I like it so far, but I would go one step further.
What if you were to paint every other grove (that is NOT red) with black paint!?!?
You could always start on something easy like the hood struts, just to see if you like it??

I personally prefer the red in each groove. It makes the chrome accents match the paint and every other line just looks unfinished to me.

To be honest though, I got kinda excited when I saw the title of your post and was hoping you had some of that pretty stuff up for sale!!
