You can do a little trimming on an '03-'04 cover to make it fit the LS2. About 10 years ago there was a thread on here about it. It doesn't take much work and looks better...but it also looks like a 5.3 and says "Vortec" on it which the LS2 isn't. I don't really like mismatched things but the person that did theirs on here filled in the Vortec emblem. It really did look great.

But again...heat soak. Yuk.

Newly painted motor cover

Hi Guys, Just wanted to share my recent artwork on my '05 SSR motor cover.. As you can see from the pics - it really came out better than perfect! The ghost flames are subtle but really set off the whole cover especially after a couple coats of clear - what do you-all think?

FYI - My guy scrubbed it to get all of the Armour All off, then used adhesion promoter, then primer, then single stage red, then he sanded down with 600 sand paper. then the base coat, followed by a clear coat, graphics were next followed by another clear coat then polish. I am very happy with it - he now wants to do the whole car for me!

Has anyone installed factory original Corvette LS-2 engine covers on a 05 SSR? If so how did you fit them in?
