Wow.....I wouldn't even think about doing anything under my hood...but if someone just happened to sneak into my truck and put those in for me.....I wouldn't complain.......I really like them (well I'm not from Texas, so I wouldn't want that flag).

It's the only state flag that is permitted to fly at the same level as the US flag.

I think it would look better with the colors reversed. BUT, the less black the better.

You ask me what a "Stinger "was last week when we were talking about the Pro 50's 60's Hood scoop........You were think along the lines of a Black scoop.....I suggested adding a Stinger.........Well you came close to it on your engine cover......It really looks great.....A true stinger be a little thiner and pointed at the tip.....with a 3/8's silver strip and the an 1/8th border strip I'll show you one soon...THis would look good carried out on your hood.......Regards Wolfie

Engine Cover Insert Letters:

Here's a photo of some SSR decal letters that I got from fanatic, SonnyB, for my bright chrome engine cover insert. They are black "SS" letters and a red "R".

I think the letters enhance the look!

Yes, they do. At first, I actually was satisfied with the plain, no decals on the raised letters look. I was not sure what color of "SS" letters to try. SonnyB talked me into the black "SS" letters, and I do think that was the way to go, for me at least, with my color of SSR.

Question

Has anyone notice that some of our SSR's have caps on the alternators and some don't. Does anyone know why?
And it also seems like there is rust coming out of mine. Is this normal?

The white rectangle, on the front of the Aqua Blur cover, is a reflection off of a "GM Performance" emblem.

Talking Doc's flamed engine cover!

My custom painter guy just emailed me a camera phone picture of the engine cover he's just finishing up for me. He painted the fuse box cover also but in just plain yellow. I'll have to get the outside of the SSR done up in the same type of flames!

Mike asked me to post the photo, so here it is. I'll try to get a better one once it's installed.
