Bernie who was from Lake Havasu hasn't done them for several years. Floyd Bailey in Tennessee did them for some time, but unfortunately Floyd passed away a couple years ago.

I haven't heard of anyone else doing them, but you could check with Mike in Az to see if they are on his radar for a future project.

Nerf bars are on the list for spring. I have a “borrowed” set at the fab shop for cloning. They are some of the last ones that Floyd made.

When I get them done, I will definitely be making a splash on the forum

Mike

Nerf bars from the old school days are metal plates that stick out front or back with curved round rod up and down. They are chrome and made for cars with out bumpers. Popular in the 60's and 70's.

I think that I paid Floyd $700 for mine, the last of the round tipped ones.

I’m out of town the rest of this week, but will get with the boys at the fab shop next week. They’re ready to do this. I have a loaner set of bars that will be used to make the pattern and welding fixtures. We plan to improve on the mounting attachment.

I’ll let y’all know.......

Gosh Mike, are you letting your personal affairs interfere with being at our beck and call?

It's your own fault you know, you've made Simple Engineering and yourself so valuable to this community.
But Squeeze comes first, then family, then personal stuff, etc, and I'm sure I'm not the only one happy to wait in line.

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.
