Sheepskin seat cover vest??

I've tried several different seat covers for my R, but none have "cut the mustard" for me. So I've decided to investigate a set of sheepskin vest type seat covers. For those that may not know, a vest type is where the sheepskin only covers the center part of the seat. But before I venture off in my quest, I figured I'd ask here to see if someone has already done it and what your take-a-way is. Anyone??

If I can't find some good fitting pre-made ones, I may just go buy some nice silver pelts and have a go at making some.

PS, I only use seat covers in the summer to keep the seats cool.

A sheepskin cover vest, eh??

Sorry Mark but I'm not really familiar with those. But if you end up making your own I just might have a lead you can contact to get sheepskin. Just notify his estate in California...........

I had big Lincoln leather buckets in my van that were hell in the summer. I covered the center section, not the bolsters, of the seat and back with cheap sheepskins from JC Whitney and it worked miracles. Discovered winter protection from the cold leather was a plus also.
So while not an SSR application it is proof of concept.

Often wrong...... but never in doubt.

Found a nice pair of high quality sheep skin seat vest covers (also called inserts) for the SSR. Got them on ebay. They were not model specific but had measurements listed. It allowed me to verify a good fit. I'm a happy camper. No more sweaty butt and back while motoring with the top down in the summer time.

Might be a way to go. Can you be more specific as to the ebay source and (model specific) choice you made.

There is no model specific info. Just measurements.
