Spent about an hour or so replacing a wonky remote control mirror switch in the driver's door panel today. Posted details about the positive outcome for anyone interested on this thread (last couple of posts include photos).
Thanks to Mike In AZ for coming to the rescue!

They're in perfect condition, not a speck on them and the little spring on the rear has absolutely no corrosion. Got the set for $139.65 with free shipping. I feel kinda guilty cause I think I stole em. My R has caps without the "Bowtie". I think they're just some generic after market caps. so these will look nice.|

Here is the photo from the Penticton BC, Peach City Beach Cruise Winding Road tour. Photo taken at the Yellow Lake rest stop.
How my wife, in her sandals and dress, got back down the hillside after taking the photo is another story for another time. [emoji32]
Those that witnessed her descent are probably smiling as they read this ...

Finished getting everything clean and shiny for the big car show next weekend.
Saturday - detailed engine compartment, interior (including waxing door jambs) and trunk. I then had enough energy to jack it up and remove the tires and wheels for cleaning. I ended up loading them into my little SUV and took them to school so I could replace the valve stems. I now have valve stems on all 4 wheels that match. (OK, maybe a little compulsive).
Sunday - cleaned wheel wells and calipers. Touched up the 3 year old paint on brake calipers and cleaned inside of wheels. Then after spraying Back to Black in wheel wells, I reinstalled wheels and applied chrome polish.
Done!! its now parked in the garage under a cover!
I was done in time Sunday to keep my date with Marie. We went to check out a possible new venue for a 2nd annual Central Ohio Summer Meet and Greet. I am so glad we went there before placing a deposit. The venue was not quite what we hoped for, but it will make for a great optional after lunch activity. Details will follow later this week after I secure lunch reservations.

Spending the weekend getting ready ffg or a big 2 day show here in town. Over 1100 cars last year on Friday and Saturday. Today was spent with wash, clay bar, swirl remover polish with da and then 2 coats of my favorite PRO W-41 yellow wax applied and buffed by hand. Tomorrow I will try to tackle interior and engine compartment.
However after cutting the grass this evening I might be a little slower tomorrow.

|Blur'd Vision||I backed the Blur out of the garage to make room to work on my Kubota Loader. The mechanic at the dealership obviously forgot to tap the roll pin back in the front drive shaft when I had it in for a transaxle seal replacement. I found a U-joint buried in my gravel driveway and my lightbulb over my head went on. I was wondering why the 4x4 wasn't working on the tractor. The owner of the Kubota dealer said "Maybe the shaft spun and broke the roll pin." Well the drive shaft is splined so it couldn't have spun and broke the pin. The mechanic forgot to pound it back in. No problem, I fixed it with a new pin. Then I put the Blur back to sleep. Waiting for my new fan from Mike. Plus I'm almost done building my radiator support.|

|dano||Well, today I replaced my TS flasher with an LED friendly one that I got from Rock Auto. I also replaced my High / Low HL, TS, and Fogs with LED units. I used switch back bulbs in the front TS so when they flash they don't turn off between flashes, they just switch from dim to bright. Don't have rear bulbs yet, but they're on their way.|

Took the truck to the carwash along with several others here in Penticton to wash away the road grime for the show.
Now enjoying my view from my hotel room balcony. Great location and open headers for an alarm clock!

Finally installed the front license plate holder with fascia support mount, with some long distance counseling from Stiles Sport Roadster.
Then have it Maryland state mechanical inspected (the only time a vehicle has this inspection is on title change) which it passed with blurring aqua colors. Next was to change the registration from temporary to permanent.
Now it's the "Real Deal," an official Maryland SSR, one of two according to the pin map.
Fear the Turtle! And the SSRs.

HushMat is a brand name for self adhesive sound deadening material. There are other brands too like Dynamat etc.. I originally started using it in older tractor cabs to cut down heat and noise. Most stereo installers offer it or a like product. There it cuts down on vibration also from larger sub woofers.
I like HushMat because it comes in black beside silver. When doing an area such as the top compartment there are areas that are not covered by the black oem insulation. This is not obvious in those areas because of the black color. Black color is not as good at reflecting heat, but it does as good of a job in sound deadening which is what I was looking for in the roof compartment. In the interior I used the silver since it is covered by carpet and door panels and gives slightly better heat deflection. I started with the floor and interior firewall when I had to replace motors/gears for the air control system. We did the door later and now the rear compartment. Each time you could notice the noise difference.
You can Google it and there are several videos. I will see if I can find a couple of pictures on the SSR. They also make thicker material and a wide range of "kits" for various vehicles that are precut. No such luck for the SSR.
