I questioned the same thing on that one. I have talked to them a couple times now. My understanding is _ yes it has carpet, but also, they told me it has sold. I was trying to lowball them, so maybe they were just trying to get me to go away, but I believe it is sold.
No history. I have $31k with 14.3k miles, no boards/gauges and probably no carpeted cargo though I couldn't tell when I saw it. It has had chrome wheels added (not original). It is a 1SS, meaning it was built very austere, (no heated seats, single CD, no Homelink). I have a hard time getting excited about giving the high five for a 1SS, even with chrome wheels added. To the knowledgeable buyer it will always be a tough resale. IMO, you should be able to get a 3SS possibly with boards, gauges, carpeted cargo and chrome wheels for about this money. 2SS is fine also as this means it is missing either boards or gauges but otherwise the same as a 3SS.
Try offering KiminCali $31 for his with only 6k miles, boards, gauges, carpet (satin wheels). He is asking $34.9 (a bit high) but think he is really wanting to sell.
If your guy is bent on this one, even with the 14k miles I would be in the $26-27 area.
I'm sorry if it sounds I am being a bit harsh.
You bought your SSR from Five Star Ford in WarnerRobins, GA, with 72k miles on it. Sorry, but I'm not sure of the intent of your message. Are you reporting it as an accident where your SSR has been damaged or that you feel the RSA Goodyears were the cause of your accident?
Hi Mr. Cash, I have been an owner scince Memorial day 2011, of a 05, aqua blur auto, VIN
1gces14h95b117898, Until a suden summer thunderstorm, while doing about 45 mph on a straight, two lane road, caused the truck to just hydroplane and go into the ditch on the other side of the road, taking a mercury mariner with it. No injuries that I'm aware of. It had the stock, goodyear rsa tires , with a mfg. date of 2007, with 5/32 tread left. I was in process of taking these tires off due to the no-traction on wet roads issue. Thanks.
Hi, Shawn here again. Yesterday when I wrote I mentioned a couple of fixes I had found and used. Since you seem to have a better memory than most for things that have been posted and cruz the forum a lot, here they are. The sponge fix for the vents, perfect 4x6x1 sponges of he correct material are available at General Paints, couple of bucks and no cutting. The second was related to the "ka-Thunk" noise from the top. Someone suggested using the soft side self adhesive velcro in the alignment pin grouve. A better fix is to use 1/2 inch double wall shrink wrap on the pin itself. About an inch of shrink wrap and a micro tourch and it is done. That stuff is tough and easy to replace if needed again
Yes, I am aware you purchased Franks #9340 and I do have your ownership recorded. You have a real good group of folks in Edmonton to get advice from and have fun with. Maybe you will make the trip with them to Penticton next year. Good luck with your mod's, but be careful with those Edmonton boys as it is human nature to have fun spending other people's money.
This is Shawn Rooney from Edmonton. I have been navigating all over the SSR website and wondered if you knew I bought Frank Princ's SSR a month ago. Serial # 1GCES14P94B109340. Kelly or John may have mentioned it in a post but I am not sure. Anyway, I see that you keep track of ownership so if you haven't changed it already you might do so. Frank gave me a DVD of information he had collected on SSR's the other day, that and what I have learned from the SSRFANATIC web site have helped me gather a few missing items and I am now in the process of adding some things from Simple Enginering and Left Coast 32. The people I have met here in Edmonton have really been helpful with parts and advice about making the SSR suit my needs. Tried to send this but I exceeded the size so I will cut it off here and perhaps get back to you later with what I have done and plan on doing with the SSR if you are interested
I have seen this Joe Gibbs. From what I can tell it was a kit Gibbs developed that was able to be self installed. There is an old Joey Logano post when this was in the development stage. To me it is like a Joe Delano SSR without the emblem. I have made an unsuccessful stab at finding out if Gibbs ever built any of these SSR which would give it more credence as a collectable, but I have a hunch he didn't. Similarly, I am trying to find out more about the Yenko SSR's because I believe they actually built a dozen of them giving more provenance to the vehicle if such is the case.
