05 Paint

Anyone with connections Marc, Freezer … can you get me info on the 05 paint. We are finding the 05 clear coats on the G.M. and Fords are causing adhesion problems. We are hearing spot repair is a NO NO. Only full panel work with aggressive scuffing can be done. One roomer has silicone in the clear coat so nothing sticks to the finish. This has caused a lot of rework for airbrush and pinstripe trade. :reddevil

Hey Rebel-

Discovered this myself as well, spot in is possible...............
Dupont has an "adhesion promotor" for the GM paints.
Called "222S" used it recently on GM SSR colors............FANTASTIC STUFF
Blends, and smooths as well. If you cannot find - PM me and I will get more info off the can for you.
