new 05 owner. can someone tell me what I need to buy to change 05 wipers and washers to 06 wipers and washers

There were two styles but some ‘05’s have the new arms without the surface mounted sprayer. ‘06 for sure is your best bet and I think you can get them on eBay.

I bought a set from GM. If yours have the added on washer tips you have the '05 early. The '06 are integrated and you can just replace the wiper assembly.

Make sure that you are getting the '06 assembly.

Is this something that people with ‘04 SSR’s should/could consider? Or is this something that only pertains to the 05/06 models? Just wondering.

Some of the "05 have the "old style" wiper arms. The "Stock on Hand" was use to depletion, and then use the new style.

As I understand it the redesign of the wiper arms was because the earlier arms were susceptible to breaking the squirter off.

If I'm misinformed I hope somebody will correct me.

So if you're not having a problem, fugetaboutit.
