For Father's Day my daughter didn't know what to get me as I don't like presents, so she and the grandson gave me a 1:10 scale radio control model of the SSR. It is about 17" long and 9" tall. It is painted a similiar color of the new blue for '06 and black on top. It is pretty cool and if you have kids, this is a nice product. It is made by FASTLANE and is sold at Toys R US. I went to the store and they have other two-tone models --black/white. The model has side pipes on it also. I guess the grandson and I will have something to play with. :ssr :jester

Be very, very careful with that R/C! I bought my son an R/C from Radio Shack several years ago and after he played with it for awhile he let ol' Dad have a turn. That one moment has turned into about a $5000.00 per year habit for me!! I am addicted to R/C Monster Trucks at 50 years old! As I write this I'm glancing at my Traxxas E-Maxx that is sitting on the floor in all it's titanium, carbon fiber and polished aluminum glory! (Oooooooh-ahhhhhhhh-haaaaaa-haaaaaa-haaaaaa!!) You know I've been looking to buy one of those /10 scale SSR's for awhile now, but don't know where to find them! I've been to most of the major toy stores and looked online, but nothing :nodno

I have seen several different styles at Toys R Us but they don't have many so you better pick one up when you see it!!!! Are you looking for a certain color or style. The last one I bought there has spinners :lol:lol

I'd probably settle for a plain yellow to match my Slingshot. I'll have to stop by Toys R us.

Hot Bodies makes an SSR body for the T/E Maxx / Savage monster trucks. :cool

Since I have an Emaxx myself, I might just have to do this! =-)

I'd probably prefer to get a 1/10 scale 190mm touring car body for my conventional RC cars, but I haven't found one yet.

1/10 SSR Body

I couldn't find a touring car body, so I went ahead and adapted the T/E Max SSR body to fit my TC3 touring car. It turned out pretty good as the length is about right, but the tires stick out a little bit. One issue is the notches in the bed that would be cut out for the T Max motor, but I hope to get a sheet of lexan to make an additional bed cover to cover them up. Of coarse I painted it Redline Red to match the real one. Overall, I'm happy with it, and I'll have it at Irwindale. :ssr

I know how you feel. Me and My son now have the same two SSR's made by Newbright. We go out and play with them for hours.

I even take mine to car shows. Here is a picture of mine at car. I also have a model on the dash.

Out of stock when I ordered ... I have had two mini catalogs come since the order was sent out. Yes 911 has slowed the boarder down. I have had a book coming, since Febuary. Always something to look forward to.
